The goal of Islam? (Or at least those in the Middle East)

This I haven't yet learned. I've heard of crimes and whatnot committed in the name of Islam, but I've never found out why those crimes were committed. What exactly do they hope to achieve by killing thousands of people (9/11), or by assassinating (quite brutally) American, Australian, and European soldiers, journalists, even civilians?

They are probably pissed that we (Americans) invaded their land, usurped their ruler, and totally upset everything. But why do they feel that executing any white person on national television is going to help anything? They're just making things worse for themselves..

I have no racist feelings or anything like that, I don't hate anyone. I just want to know what those people are trying to accomplish.

 

Kill people who aren't Islam. I think that about sums it up. Mission from allah; all that jazz.

The average muslim just wants to go to work in the morning and return home to his family at night (this is especially true, I'd imagine, of the Iraqi muslim majority who take their very lives into their hands going for the morning paper), watch his children grow up and go to college and then one day to die, and be with God.

Apology accepted. For your information, the suicide bombing (I believe the one you're talking about) that happened on October 1, 2005 is in Bali, Indonesia. It is Indonesia, and not Malaysia. Get the fact straight. I suggest you Google before writing something.

I am not a blind muslim fanatic. But I don't like people giving a bad name to my country. We are peaceful multi-racial country and do not tolerate with extremists but at the same time we also don't tolerate with people trying to give a bad name to our country. let it be, people from middle east of western people. We love to have foreigners visiting our country. You can do whatever you want here, you want to club/party till the next day, go on. Nobody is going to blow you to pieces. But make sure you respect our culture, our sensitivity. Though we are open-minded, we are still Eastern people.

However, in regards to your and Dead Corn's conversation, while the bombing in question was in Bali, the Bali bombings were committed by 3 Malaysia suicide bombers from Al Qaeda linked Jammat Al Islamiya.

 

The 2 Malaysian were the mastermind. Though there is Malaysian involvement in the bombing, but your fact is wrong. I have to correct it. those bombers were Indonesian. Dr.

Anyway,

1) First of all, As we don't like extremist, Al-Gama'a al-Islamiyya was banned in Malaysia long before the suicide bombing and suspected members were detained under ISA for investigation.

2) Those 2 masterminds we already in local police wanted list long before that.

3) They don't operate in Malaysia as there is no room for them in Malaysia and if you care to do some research, they have left Malaysia years before the bombing.

To answer that question, you must first read the background of the bombers like Dr. Azahari, what influenced him to that kind of ideology. I mean from whom his studied the ideology and where did he got that ideology from.

In other words, we don't teach suicide bombing in Malaysia. Thanks!
