Is check withdrawal with paypal working for Indians?

somebody here posted in this forum after calling paypal, the withdrawal issue would take 15-20 days to get resolved. i think there is no use of waiting for withdrawals.

i am thinking of withdrawal using cheque? has anybody done it and is it working?

Please update this thread if you know anything.

 

some one mentioned cheque u can get in 15 days so better to try with xoom

 

i dont want to handle with xoom as i am afraid using them for money transfer. i prefer to wait and get money from paypal either by check or by withdrawal.

 

Yeah if you don't want money in your hand immediately then you need to wait at least 1-2 week.I'm waiting for green signal from paypal.
I think they will be find out any option for us to withdraw money through paypal.

After too many cancellations from Xoom, today i used cheque withdrawal from Paypal, it still shows pending. This is the first time i am using cheque withdrawal, hope it will reach me on time.

 

how chq withdrwal possible when paypal says cheque cannot be cased outside us bank

check will work in India and just like google adsense check.

@powerboss Kindly update here whenever you receive check or any major update by paypal about your check. I am going to do withdraw by chk next week or so.

 

Yes its cannot be cashed outside the us. do you know what is the meaning of that?
it means this check cannot cash at the bank counter like a self check.
only you can deposit the check to your bank account.

the check at par payable at all citi bank branches in India. but you can deposit the check at any bank.
if you deposit the check in your citi bank account it will be instantly credit to your account. if you are depositing other bank it will be take 1-2 business days to credit your account.

I was received more then 100 checks from paypal from 2004 to 2007 !
2007 December paypal introduced the NEFT facility for Indian users.

 

I have requested for cheque on feb 10th after my bank transfer getting reversend. Forst 5 days it showed me PENDING and later got COMPLETED. But I didnt receive it so far. I think it might take some time. BUT the cheque needs atleast 1 month to encash. THe paypal cheque is similar to Adbrite cheque. Whereas Adsense cheque is Indian chque so needs only 4 days to encash.

Once I receive the paypal cheque, I will post it here.

^^ If the cheque is in INR then it will only take 2-3 days.
US$ cheques can take 30-45 days.

 

Since the cheques are issued in INR, it takes the normal clearing time of 2-3 days to get cleared.
The only thing which consumes lot of time in this method is the reaching of the cheque to us... from them!

The Paypal check comes to you in 2 to 3 week. And it is in USD currency so, it takes more then 30 days to cash out and after one month or money comes to your account. So, I won't prefer that option, better wait.

 

i have requested a cheque on 15th will update you guys on how it works for me..but it was approved in 2 days and probably on the way

yes PayPal cheque will come in INR. I was using it before they have started bank withdrawals and at that time I was getting cheque of their City bank, India account and currency was INR.
