Hello Guys, I don't know what my feel right now. But of course, a bit sad. I was using windows7 build 7100 evaluation copy in my lenovo laptop which is going to expire on day after tomorrow. So thought to renew it. While searching on many forums its found that the only good way to keep using w7 is installing a new 'Genuine version' as there was no upgrade option for evaluation copies. So I spent my hard-earned money to get a genuine copy of w7 (around 130$). Yesterday I went for meeting my friend at his place. Told proudly that I have a genuine copy of w7 professional. He laughed and asked me to check his lap. I did and found that he is also using the genuine version of w7 professional (in system properties we can check this). I enquired how much he has paid.. He told me that 20$ I was shocked.. How this is possible. He told me that Genuine w7 copies are available for much lower price like 15$(home basic) and all.. I didn't sleep the whole night.. Whats this? isn't there any value for my money? How this is possible? How its genuine.. I don't know guys..All I know is I'm screwed.. I could have asked him before purchasing the copy My fate..
friend.. I will tell you on this.. I am gonna give a try with an ultimate w7 genuine os from him with my Desktop.. I will let you know the update within a day or two.. Lets see whether it get succeed with the online activation with microsoft site. But he told that his lap got successful activation certification from ms site. I could see that too. But still doubts whether he also paid full?

Jim, still the confusing thing is - if its pirated how they pass the online activation test with microsoft? They have got certified as me.. .. I don't know friend.. URRRRRRRRRRRRRR....
can you able to check with your friends license number? how you verified it is verified by MS. There are many cracks to bypass the geniune certification from MS
Don't lose your heart so easily. What you met is not as serious as some other sad thing,such as your friends do not give any respond to what you said or did suddenly,I'm facing this problem,feel so sad.
He is a good friend of mine. He has told me that he also did the same procedure to activate it via online through microsoft's site. And also I could see the same genuine certificate in his system properties. Any way I'm going to give it a try on my desktop, if it works I will let you know for sure. I'm not that much sad my friend...But anybody will feel bad hearing this in that way way, yeah am also..
There is no need for you to get upset over this incident. There are many things in life for which we work really hard while the same thing comes on a platter to many! yes, true right man.. I'm not that much sad.. the things is its a bad thing about the industry. We can't do anything. People with lots of connections always save something. And the others not.
yeah..But learned a lesson. Do nothing in a hurry. Ask your friends, and connections think well and do... An update: rajesh ejob, it worked with my Desktop. Successful online activation with MS site, and got the seal and certification with system properties as I got it previously.. So its confirmed that the extra money I spent was a sure waste. hmm leave it anyways...
