So How's vBSEO Treating you?

Well I'm about to launch a new forum and I always make this decision during the final stages of my site launch. To vBSEO or not to.

To this day I haven't yet.

ANyone got any solid testing data they've done or personal experience they've had that they'd say makes vBSEO worth the price?

    Thanks,

    - George

I've used VBSEO on 2 different forums. After I installed...

    Site 1: Before - 660 uniques a day
    Site 1: After - 1500 uniques a day

    Site 2: Before - 400 uniques a day
    Site 2: After - 800 uniques a day

The uniques continue to climb as well. Question is: Why wouldn't you install it? What's the downside to it? There is definitely upsides to installing it.

Because it costs $11 less than a full owned vbulletin license and the code is encrypted :)

But thanks that's the type of numbers I'm looking for. Those numbers justify the price IMO.

For every post saying it helped there are many others that say the opposite.

    Check out this thread George...

There are free alternatives to vBSEO.

I've heard differing opinions on this, including at the vbulletin forum itself. It seems that with good, short URLs it almost doesn't matter. Then again it makes me wonder then just how different a URL is that looks like

    teaching.org/math-class-algebra-exam.html is versus

    teaching.org/showthread.php?t=1253343427

This is a very good question. The big difference off the bat is that the latter requires no real maintenance. I'd probably have a cow if my VBSEO broke, it was sold and then support wasn't good, etc. It's a toss up and wonder whether it's worth it to handle my 35K posts.

Not worthy, the plugin is more expensive than the application itself. If you spend some times on Google, you will find a better alternative to it that is free! But, if you are too desperate, go for it then...

We can argue if it is better or not ;) and does not have as many functions as vbseo but it is free and is rewriting urls just like that expensive thing called vbseo !

    Nothing beats vbseo

vwrite? doesnt do 10% of the things vbseo does

Talk about search engine rankings? well vbseo rocks

get some orignal content on a forum and install vbseo and you will be rolling in a few days

google loves it and so does yahoo and msn

I have vbseo on 2 forums I hate the price but its still worth it and as far as buying $150 worth of links is concerned that will prove wrong in a few days when vbseo 3.0.0 RC4 is released I dont want to argue with those who dont actually have an idea what vbseo is all abotu so if you havent read through things it does please dont try to make a point here :)
