Because our media is busy with film promotions, movie gossips and chat shows but not interested in covering hard hitting news.

stop complaining, just use 2checkout.com, yes they charge 5.5% for transactions, but stress kills, not 2.6%

I lost sleep when there reversals and no perfect update from paypal. Now i feel little alright with paypal giving updates on the process of solving the issue.

Our media is always covering political & movie drama which gets more TRP than any other soaps on television....is there any program of our media covering issues to get any of public problems solved?

yeah dude..i am very frustrated with this issue.....one thing has been proved no one is worried about us....i regret paying taxes and showing everything clean on paper......i feel fault is of RBI they stopped everything in one go rather it could have been done in systematic way....some people say its paypal's fault but i want to ask why did they allow paypal to have bank withdrawals for 2 years when there papers were not in order and when most of us relied on it they stopped it mindway.

If paypal goes down, we all go down! You would be surprised to know, many of my US clients dont want me to change paypal as payment processor. Just because they are so used to it, if switch to other paypal alternative, i fear i might lose business to competitors.

Dont tell me, indian media doesnt know what paypal is?

Paypal is not going down, they are just giving India problems, plus do u really think if paypal went down there isn't someone right behind them to take their spot. Think before posting.

i think indian regulators, should think first, before implementing such rules in haste. In dec, they brought over a stupid rule, forcing all indian credit card holders to use secure code, because of this my international card transactions to american companies was declined. i was screwed then and at one point it threatened my business!

NOW, they hit out at at paypal. Look at ebay sellers, they are facing tough times as well. Many got buyers payments stuck in paypal, they couldnt ship the item and buyers screaming on them giving plenty of negative feedbacks!

    Anyway, Indians are all SCREWED!!!!

Even if somebody comes, it would take years to get popularity and establish themselves. If your buyers are international they will have a hard time knowing the new payment company.

Do you think a terrorist or a guy who needs to send black money will use paypal ever !! this is highly stupid of RBI thinking that one can use paypal, the rules and terms of paypal are so strict that they themselves do not promote them as a money transfer company but as a payment gateway where the money changes hands only for goods and / or services. Try sending huge money at short intervals using paypal and you will find your account limited . .

completely agree with that! infact paypal falls under jurisdiction of US Patriot law, which are way strict and paypal complies with IRS rules.

Try sending $10,000 with paypal, and see within minutes your account will be locked.

i would say, india needs to evolve than saying develop.

Paypal verifies you completely before they allow you full functionality, What does Western Union / Moneygram does to verify the source and reason of transfer . . they are allowed to function and Paypal is not . . I agree they did not comply to RBI rules or didnt get a license . . but come'on stoppping them is not a solution. . . . give them a notice of 30 days before closure . . .

Indian govt knows . . guys who depend on paypal are all educated . . and they are obviously not their vote banks . . . so they are least bothered about us all . .

I feel agitating farmers were well heard than all of us. . .
