Awesome. Note the 2 year contract part. Guess they figure they won't need them after the 2008 elections. I mean really.... could they make it any more frigging obvious that they are going to spend 20 million of your tax dollars to help elect a Republican in 2008?

No worries, the MSM will still be there to paint the doom and gloom only, that so many seek.

    That's it? No worries?

Oh yeah that's right you don't mind how they get your money for their cause. Whether you donate it or they take it it's cool with you.

Your statement was a nice attempt at shifting the focus. But in reality the fact that you of all people didn't even attempt to defend their position here shows that even you know there is no defending this.

Let's see, Bush takes away americans rights by instilling fear of terrorism in the american public. Selling fear.

But the the main stream media is bad for pointing it out?

This is the Bush administration at it's worse.

You fail to realize, the odds are in your favor already. You seek failure and the MSM is more than happy to give it to you. If the MSM were doing their job, they would report *all* facets of the war. But we know the truth, don't we? You're upset that positive aspects might be exposed. Oh, the doom and gloom!

monitor how the news media portrays the war in Iraq

What rights? The threat of terrorism is real, as evidenced by the continuous exposing of real threats to our country, which you seem to trivialize for the sake of hatred of a President. I suppose next, you'll blurt out about how you've been a life long republican, etc. Yeah, right

No, they are bad for giving a one-sided story that fits the agenda of two parties; democrats and terrorists.

That's rhetoric and blind loyalty if I ever read it. But, coming from you, it's not worth engaging.

When the goverment engages in PR, it's obviously a cover up. The cover up is always worse then the original crime. It's nice to see them making mistakes and panicking.

I was pretty sure you didn't have a clue about what "rights" were taken away, unless of course, you are part of al qaida.

Oh yea, "blind loyalty, sheep, think for your self." And all those "life long" republican catch phrases, eh? ;)

    Only the message matters

lol you're first attempt at a rebuttle was weak even for you. Your response to spending 20 mil on a PR firm contract that happens to expire just in time for election is to quote that they are there to monitor??

What do you think they will monitor? What will monitoring do? Do you think they will somehow control the media with monitoring? Cmon you know dar well they are hiring a PR firm because they need good PR. They are going to try and feed any story they can find that makes it look like it makes sense for us to be there to the media. Then they'll claim they are fair abd balanced like Fox

Monitoring... As if you really believe that's what they are going to pay them to do for the 2 years leading up to the election. Does that even make sense to you? I know it doesn't but I had to ask..

Try to change this into any other argument you like as you always do but sorry I'm gonna have to keep throwing the point of the thread in your face.

They need help and they know it.
If they didn't this wouldn't have happened.
They're hiring a PR firm and using your tax dollars to do it.

So unfortunately noppid is right. Not being able to see that is blind loyalty any way you slice it.

Rebuttle of what? I just like watching you cry!

Cool, so you openly admit the media is biased in it's reporting and serves two interests; democrats and terrorists. You appreciate the doom and gloom because your blind hatred for a president overrides normal judgement and it's perfectly ok. You are afraid of anything positive coming out of Iraq because it wouldn't be fair. Got it! Anything else, skipper?

Personally, they could give the money to me. I already do the job for free. Is there anyone who really believes the media doesn't strive to paint the worst of pictures in it's reporting? Just look at the skirmish in Lebanon, nothing but biased media reporting and subsequent UN catering to terrorist groups. I take it you are caught up in that moral delima of what's right is wrong and what's wrong is right?

Works fine for me! I'm enjoying throwing it right back and exposing your agenda with it :D

Once again, you openly admit the media is not doing a fair job by suggesting the administration needs help. When in reality, were the media doing fair reporting instead of creating news to back democrats and terrorists, it probably wouldn't be necessary. But, as long as the news is doom and gloom, you are fine with it. But when there's another view, on a positive side, you scream victim and foul ball, because "how dare they report something good from Iraq." Got it, I see exactly where you are coming from.

Blind loyalty to hatred of a president to justify "only the message matters." Don't forget sheeple!

Please show me the line in a quote where I admitted that.... done looking? Ok now take your meds and go to bed.

Sooooo you feel it's OK for the Republican party to use tax dollars to hire a PR firm? And if this were a Democratic majority doing the same thing you would say...?

I know I know I keep asking you direct questions that you can't answer so you have no choice but to attack me personally. It sucks. :(

So you also admit reading comprehension isn't your forte? See my previous post and stop whining!

I'd probably rush over and make a grand post crying about how victimized the system is and how bad the naughty democrat was, sprinkled with some sheep and blind loyalty and how great it is that only the doom and gloom was reported. Oh wait, probably not, huh? Tissue?

That's a good one! Attack others, then play the victim role through projection that others are attacking you! Awww, poor wittle georgie can't get his bush bashing in without those pesky republicans calling him out :D

OK I dug through the retoric and I came up with this sarcastic ending statement as your final answer.

I'd try to take it seriously but what the heck. Let's just call it no answer. :D

You know someone is losing a debate when they make the debate about people.

I'm opposed to the policy, which is stay the course and there are no results to justify that. GWB just happens to be the man behind the failed policy, among others. It's easy to distract people when you play the hatered card I guess.

Last time I looked it was my obligation as an american citizen to question the politicians. Those that call it unamerican or disrespect for the president are in fact blind loyalists. :/

The republicans gave us paperless voting machines so they can't be questioned. That is something that scares the hell out of me.

GTech is only good at one liners dude. He's that funny old uncle that farts a lot.

Truth is unless there is a link he can find to do the talking for him he'll resort to catch phrases and making it personal before he'd try to actually articulate a direct response to your position. I go at it with him on the personal side for fun but when I bring it back to topic, as you can see, he's desperate to keep it personal.

What about sheep, let's not forget the sheep!

So many seek instant gratification and demand instant results. It's easy to spot the hatred card when someone uses it over and over and over again.

Yet the problem is, you aren't asking the government questions, you are making accusations. Pretending to be patriotic by redefining what it means is quite popular these days.

Source? Or just more blind opinion? Oh wait, that's you pretending to be patriotic by asking a question, right? Heh!

Still no ideas what rights were taken away? Always prepared to lob it out, never prepared to back it up. Ah, patriotism redefined
