Can Anyone Tell Me How To Make Money From Forum With Loyal Traffic?

A lot of gurus keep telling us returned visitors and traffic loyalty are the most important things but I personally feel it's not really since they dont make money for me. I have a forum with more than 60,000 visitors a day. 50% of them are direct traffic and even the rest organic traffic which comes from Google are those who type my site domain name in Google so basically my traffic are filled by the same people over and over again.

I've been trying to put up yieldmanager ads (which unfortunately was packed by trojans), gunggo (zedo ads), adbrite, ad4game, and all the CPM/CPC networks but usually after 1-2 weeks the earning went down because probably my users dont click them.

I wonder how to make money from them, like maybe offering something or how? The forum is about streaming movie online

The first thing that comes to mind for me when you mention streaming video is the affiliate program Netflix has.

If you have a lot of discussion about pirated video, or just generally freeloading users, it might be worth setting up campaigns for paid services like Netflix using a focus on ease of use and simplicity, and then litter your forums with bogus claims of free streaming video made by anonymous users enough that the paid alternatives become the more attractive option.

"Tired of bogus downloads that just screw up your computer ? Try a REAL streaming services like Netflix"

    Or something along those lines.

Did u try Google Adsense or Chitika Ads

What niche is you forum about

You have lots of visitors why dont u use CPM ads ( xtendmedia , z5x , tribal fusion , valueclickmedia )

Or best is join CPA ( Azoogleads, Market Leaverage, W4, Hydra, Clickbooth etc )

    Hope this helps

If your visitors are looking for quasi legal content in the first place they may be a lot less likely to buy. If your membership list were built around an interest that leads to purchases that may have helped early on. I guess the best bet at this point is to find something that they cannot get anywhere else. Possibly even a paid section of the forum may be a good way to monetize.

I think he has laid it out pretty nicely for you.

It sounds like to me you are running a movie sharing forum, correct?

Think about that type of audience.

These are the type of people who will search and spend their valuable time trying to find a product for free instead of paying for it.

Do you think those type of people make good buying customers?

Dude, you dont know how much movie2k.com and similar sites make every month, they make 5 digits of USD despite their web users are chasing free movies. That's why I want to know how my site can make money...

regarding CPA ads like xtend media, they are full of trojans and they made my visitors complain

I don't seem to understand the reason as why you want to take CPM/CPC/CPA which are of not much known. I have not heard of names you mentioned except adbrite. If you have something sites like warez of free movie giving type then its best to tell visitors to fill up some form before going ahead to watch that movie.

Why dont you use clickbank and promote some Tv and related products? You can even use movie, entertainment related cpa offers,it your forum has 60K visitors a day and u are not making money, then you had better sell the forum for good money.
    Good luck

CPM works best, I'll say that right off the bat. Forums tend to be all about posting and discussion, nobody cares to click on your AdSense CPC ads or something. Try starting with a smaller CPM company like SkyCPM or AdBrite, and move your way up

For forums, you can get adsense and some affiliate sites. Get some good looking banners.

Give them something free and create a list an then offer them promotions. Email marketing is still pretty good.

I think that sounds spot on. It's not a "quick fix" as such but definately a long term earner. It still gives the users a choice aswell.
