I can hardly cook but I have a strong desire to learn this skill some day! I do watch a lot of the TV shows related to it and am fascinated by the creativity involved. As of now... I am satisfied with the experimentation done my wife in preparing the new dishes... for me! Regards, RightMan
I eat out or get delivery for pretty much every meal.. I can cook, french, italian, indian, thai, I just typically don't have time or want to clean up. Also going to the grocery store is a drag. Anyone else here use peapod?
Best thing to know about good cooking is to use fresh ingredients. You'd be amazed when you use fresh (green) herbs, real lemons, tomatoes, etc.. Here's a simple chicken curry recipe, which i make all the time: Many different types of curry, and you can get dry curry or curry paste. Both are good. Works best on chicken, so take your chicken and rub with oil, then add salt and pepper. Place in a HOT pan w/ HOT oil and sear each side. You can't sear the chicken with curry on it, it will burn. You'll need coconut milk (all Asian stores have this in a can). Just mix the coconut milk with the curry (amount of curry depends on how much you want and how much chicken). Mix well. When your chicken is browned, add the milk/curry mix to the pan. You can either simmer it w/ a lid on the stove top or put the whole pan in the oven (use the oven if chicken is thick, stove top if thin). Cook until done. Very simple. Chicken, oil, salt and pepper, coconut milk and curry. That's all you need.
