Ok so i want to promote clickbank products. all of the links they give me go directly to the vendors sales page (sometimes not very good looking) so with clickbank should I need landing page? and if so how to do i link MY buy now button to my vendor without my customers having to deal with redundant sales pages?
You don't need a landing page, you can redirect with good sales pages and do fine if you want to get started fast.
Some vendors will help you to do this, but to be honest if you are put off by the sales page that you want to bypass it then just.. bypass it alltogether and find a product you do like the look of. You should probably still use your own landing pages in most instances, but just to get a little interest, do a quick presell / review before sending them on to the real vendor sales page.
Yes, definitely. To do some pre-selling (NOT "selling") which will increase the sales-page's conversion-rate a lot and of course to build your list - you can't do that without a landing page! The sales page is not redundant. Your landing-page shouldn't be a sales page: the vendor provides that. (If you don't like the vendor's sales-page, then promote another product instead: there are tens of thousands of products there). But don't get confused between an affiliate's landing-page and a vendor's sales page: they're two completely different things.
I agree. But think, what is your purpose? Fast? Longlasting? Your own business? Choose your strategy accordingly!
You not need any landing page. If you have your own website, you can create your Redirect HopLink. Create a "New web page" on your site. Then just copy the below script and paste it between the <HEAD></HEAD> tags on your new web page. It look like this: <html> <head> <title>Guide 2 Online Business - A Complete Step-By-Step Guide</title> <meta http-equiv="REFRESH" content="0; URL=http://YOURIDENTT.yeekhui.hop.clickbank.net"> </head> </html> NOTE: These work much better than banners alone! Remember to replace the YOURIDENTT with your ClickBank Account Nickname. Good luck and God bless. To Your Prosperity and Success, Yee Khui
You're asking two separate questions - 1) You do not NEED to do anything with affiliate marketing. But, you should set up some sort of review/pre-sell/product comparison page. 2) To link directly to vendor's order page, do use this link: http://ITEMNUMBER.YOURNICKNAME_VENDORNAME.pay.clickbank.net I've tested direct linking to order page. Never worked for me.
Don't forget that (for obvious reasons) you do need the vendor's express permission, to link directly to their order-page - and if you do it without having that and they find out, Clickbank really will close down your account.
YES, you do need a landing page. Whoever says you dont simply does not get affiliate marketing. Direct linking is old news and will get you banned by Google if you use PPC or your CPC will be so high you will go broke. Also, you are building the vendors business by not having a landing page....not yours. Brand you and yoru business, NOT the vendor. You need a landing page with a subscriber list (aweber) to build your list and business. the landing page can be a blog (blogger, wordpress) so it is not that hard to set up. You can buy software to build your own site or you can sub it out to a expert. Make your site "full" with content and a good amount of pages and information and you will be well on your way to making some good money.
Yeah, I didn't know that. The one time I did, I remember emailing the vendor. I asked him if it was a good idea, and he said I could go ahead and do it, but also mentioned that you may not get credited for every sale you make because of greater tracking issues with direct linking. This was at least 6 months ago. I don't know if anything was changed, but overall, direct linking did not bring in a single sale.
When people say "direct linking" they normally mean linking from an article or an ad directly to the sales-page, without having their landing-page in-between (a very bad idea, of course, because they can't pre-sell and they can't build a list either!!). But here, we're talking about "direct-linking" in the sense of bypassing the vendor's sales-page and going directly to his order-page. Which can be done with his permission. (Just clarifying that in case anyone reading the thread was confused!). The catch is that doing it this way doesn't set an affiliate cookie, so you'll only get paid on the immediate sales - in other words you'll lose the majority of commissions.
