I'd have to go with Ronaldhino or David Beckham since soccer is the most popular sport in the world. I have a hard time imagining that the majority of Chinese or Indian people know who Tiger Woods is. Michael Jordan / LeBron James / Yao Ming...LMAO. Anyone thinking that obviously has no concept of countries and cultures other than the US. And I realize Yao Ming's from China but basketball is FAR from popular there.
David Beckham, i think a few years back he was one of the most well known phrases in the world or something..
He's been spreading other things around as well I would have to say: M. Jordan, Tiger Woods, David Beckham, Lance Armstrong, Cristiano Ronaldo and Usian Bolt.
Only in countries that are big with soccer. In the US where it isn't as popular, Beckham is still more well known, regardless of whether or not he is more skilled (personally I have no clue who's better, I don't watch soccer). I would say either Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, or Usain Bolt. One might also argue Babe Ruth.
