I got the money in my bank account within 24 Hours without any problem !!!

Made Withdrawal - Feb 16 - 6 PM
Got amount in bank - Feb 17 - 4 PM

Paypal account - Verified Premier
Bank - Axis
Withdrawal Amount - $850+
Coupon used - Nope ! (Who care..i don't want my money to hang in air, just to save some amount...and it's just cost me around 250 INR more if i compare it with paypal withdrawal. )
Received verification call - Nope !

I used same email for xoom and paypal and different for recipient.
All name and addresses are same on both sender and receiver.

My advise - Don't try to enter any false info. Give all information like name address, phone number etc, real and accurate. Addresses should be same on both paypal and xoom. Don't use coupon if amount is more than $500 coz you will get same amount as you get with paypal.

 

Xoom transfers funds to our bank a/c via NEFT (excluding Punjab Nation Bank a/c) and it does take 2-3 days to complete transfers.

 

After these LOLz I hate to spoil the fun, but I think this RBI ruling would be applicable to PayPal too, right? I think it was not following this only bcoz it was not registered with RBI. Imagine then we would have to use a combination of PayPal bank withdrawals, cheque withdrawals, CC withdrawals, XOOM, 2CO and all to make some 30-40 withdrawals a year.

I think there is also $2500/month limit for single withdrawal, apart from 12 withdrawals/yr. I have seen this in xoom, western union, and moneygram. Such hard and past policies truly sucks paypal will always be the best!

 

well guys... no need to hit Mr. D Subbarav. I think he is very kind person. You can talk to him and clear all matters. I just read the biography of D Subbarav. He is an IITian (2 times IIT Kharagpur and IIT Kanpur ) + IAS officer.

He will definitely hear our cry.

 

oh what are we gonna do with 12 withdrawals only? That would render PayPal also toothless practically . I don't understand how the govt. expects anybody to work with such stifling rules?

Just a passing thought...

The transaction that made my funds credited at my bank account by Xoom involved NEFT transfer from 'Bahrain India International Exchange'.

Did anyone of you receive the same transaction details? Ithought it should have been 'Buy India Online'..

Anyways, I am happy as long as money comes..

 

According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) regulations, our partners in India are strictly required to observe the rules for money transfer companies in India. With that in mind, each recipient can receive up to 12 transfers per financial year (April-March).



Thanks a lot, dude. Yaa we need to plan our transactions from April onwards if PP is not gonna be fine... but there should not be any worry for Feb and March of this year at xoom, I guess..
