Content Adwords Annyoing Problem - Low Impressions After Changing Bid

    Hello
I've been using Adwords for some time now and I thought I've seen it all...here is the short story:
I have a content campaign and was doing pretty well until I decreased the bid from X cents to Y cents, trying to decrease the costs.
Next day, bang, no impressions at all. I have decreased the bid with 1-2 cents only.

I knew something is wrong, put back the old price, and waited 1-3 days. I have some impressions but only one tenth of the initial impressions.
Increased the price - now is almost double than the initial bid-but still low impressions. Started/restarted campaign. Nothing
    Anyone experienced this before?

Any advice is appreciated, I am losing my mind here, I didn't change any of the campaign's settings..doesn't make any sense

I would say set your bids to what you want to pay. Then leave it well alone for a week or two. All these changes affect your keyword history and googles algorithm wont update as often as you like. To be blunt, stop messing about, google doesnt like it :)
My other thought is that someone else may have bid higher on your keywords or that your bids are no longer Eligible.

Remember adwords will bid up until it gets a click, so you may not be paying your actual max bid (lets hope not lol). Be slow to make changes to your account.
It you want to tweak things, I would suggest adding new keywords :)

I just changed my ad also, and am only getting about 70% of the traffic that I was before. I think it just takes time to get back into the same standing with adwords as you were before.. I don't think there is anything you can do besides wait.

I had my adwords set for a two week campaign. Got 29 impressions for 2 days then nothign after that. I increased to .50 a click still nothing. I created a new campaign 10 a day, .50 starting 2 max, no impressions. I added around 199 new keywords that were suggested no impressions. The first campaign was for a niche site that the keywords shoudl have been right on. Their system should alert you if you have a settign that is hosing you, but I am not impressed yet with it. LOL

A couple of questions for you.

Did you change the image ads your using? Remember, google has to review and approve each individual image ad, so uploading a new one and deleting the old one will drop your impressions entirely.

What rank were you before you started reducing your bids? You want to make sure your above the number 2 position for any volume, unless your dealing in an extremely large niche, and even then, volume will be minimal. Have you tried other forms of optimization? Adding new ads to increase your CTR?

Unfortunately, google doesn't update as fast as all of us would like, but in the end its something we've got to deal with. Relax, put your max bid extremely high say 5 times what your willing to pay, and reduce the daily budget to something small. Control the number 1 spot for a few days, then start slowly reducing the bids and raising the daily budget.

With my campaign I was not using any images. I just started a new one yesterday too. I started it with max $2.00, I set it to auto bid right now. I have yet to see any impressions on this campaign yet. I did it at noon yesterday. I set it for a 6 day campaign. If I do nto see anythign by tommroow I will post another comment in their help forum. It seemed right after that, impressions sky rocketed last time. LOL
