I would rather prefer X2's iTablet, despite of its thichkness its packed with awesome features iPad lacks and it runs on Windows 7 OS or Linux, take that iPad!
Personally i thought it was just a Giant Iphone, I didn´t like iphone so this is a huge joke to me.. Also according to some sources they can delete certain files from it.. if they think they are downloaded warez.. If that source is correct it´s a iphone on steroids with a trojan in it.. NO THANKS!
I prefer a netbook, at least I have a keyboard and then I'll get the same screen size. Cheaper and better.
Let's see, it's called a "tablet computer" yet it runs the same OS as the iPhone. How is that a computer? In addition, no multitasking. So you can't really use it as a computer other than surfing the web. Which the iPhone and pretty much every new cell phone on the market can do. Plus its 500..
I think the iPad right now is pretty lackluster but it does have a lot of potential. Remember what everyone said about the iPod and iPhone?
it's simply a giant ipod touch... until they add some ports and install a real os, I'll gladly stick to my netbook & iphone. even though i think apple is a wolf in sheeps clothing, they do seem to be the only one who has gotten the cell phone thing right (granted you have jailbroken you iphone). HTC is slowly closing the gap with android, the new Win7 mobile devices may or may not be a game changer, time will tell.
Best comment so far. Why these big companies always keep robbing us for our hard earned money? Introduce same crap with new names every year. I am not buying this.
The ipad is a joke...for one, ipad is a stupid name, and secondly, ipad is a larger glorified itouch. It was not thought out very well, and I doubt it will do well in the long run.
$499 for the iPad isn't cheap since you also have to pay for a data plan $14.99/month (250mb data) or $29.99/month unlimited (not really since it's on AT&T).
Regardless of what they may change in the future, the current iPad is nothing more than an oversized iTouch that cant multitask. Sorry, but that's a little too much money for me to spend on something that doesnt give me 1% the functionality of a netbook or laptop.
the Ipad is not a practical gadget trying to fill any existing need or market... It's trying to create a new market for consumers....
