Basic qualification to learn seo?

Hi,

Is there any minimum requirement to learn seo?
Is it necessary for one to have from technical background?
what is the future scope and career growth.?
I'm from non tech background but know a lots from online forum have did practical on many blogs... and now want to make career as a seo professional .

You dont need to have a technical background. Just have some knowledge of basic languages like html etc.
read seo e-books, apply those rules and yes lots and lots of practice/experience too.

the only thing you need to have you is to keep your mind open and to do more and more research and analysis...u need to be always ready to learn....

You just have some basic knowledge on HTML language and nothing else you can learn SEO if you dedicated towards it.

 

You only need basic understanding of HTML,CSS etc. and the will and dedication to spend time and effort to learn SEO, then you can start work as seo professional.

 

Just have the will power that you can get your site to the first in SE. Just learn the basics, work on it, try apply your perceptions and you will succeed. Dedication is more important than Qualification.

I think there is no basic knowledge other than HTML basic knowledge. You should start reading some books over SEO and start contributing in forums. You will gain some quick knowledge this way.

 

just login to your google adsense and learn everything from there like analytics then read mat cutts blog.

 

There is no need to have technical knowledge. HTML is a require one for this. Read Search Engine Starter Guide, SEO Bible and start to learn SEO Basic things.

 

No basic qualification but you should be a graduate as SEO professional ,should know HTML ,CSS ,learn from internet because all the SEO basics everyone learn from internet ,no books are there ,you should follow experts blogs and articles .To be SEO Manager you should have some technical knowledge like php , .net also.

 

SEO professional is rare .. before coming to seo i dont have a technical knowledge .. now also i dont have it.. just look out through this forum.. our lot seo professional are around here.. u ask them .they will clarify your doubt..
Dont worry to become a seo person.. we can survive when the WEB comes to end. there is no end to web(internet).

when you become a SEO professional, you won't need to worry about "career growth" because no 5 to 8 normal job is going to pay you anything close to what you will be making on your own.. the real SEO's are not for hire.

 

I think there is no need of technical thing for learning seo. You can learn it from any seo book or such forums can help you a lot.

 

A basic knowledge of HTML shall be required but still i woould say that a non technical person can also switch to SEO field.And as far as i am concerned SEO is totally a marketing stream( Internet marketing).

Regarding growth so now days in the world of growing technology websites have become a essential part of a man's business.Well large scale and huge production business are revised through electronic means only,where SEO too plays a vital role.

 

I think you should never go in this field because competition level is so high in this field. You should learn php and should go on web development field.

 

SEO is common sense really. Based on the fundamental principles of what we know Google rank a website for, it's fantastic.

 

No technical background needed for SEO. Future and career growth assured in SEO. Learning is the minimum requirement in SEO.

 

There's no such qualifictaion required for doing SEO. The only thing required is experience and skill to do proeprly.
