Is winseven or win7 going to be a trademark issue if used in a domain name?

You can defend it if there is a similar thing with win7 (I don't think there is). But if you develop it into a Windows 7 site it'll just make everything worse and you won't be able to defend it at all. But of course Microsoft may not care or notice. If you try to use it for commercial purposes or if your site becomes really really popular you'll probably get a lawsuit.

If you are planning to create a fan, informational or a support site for Win7, Microsoft may not care at all as I said before. But there is no guarantee for such a thing.

Here is a decision for domains like yours.

okay forget it, I have wineightforums.com and wineightforum.com registered and there is a couple days left before I can cancel them. Just wondering if they are worth keeping, I am willing to keep them but if it is going to be a trademark issue then it is better to get rid of them. even if there is a remote chance.
