In general, cpalead is better. But for this task you're trying to do, Adscend's tools are much better and easier to work with, IMO.

If you may, rebrand them with your affiliate links and spread them over the internet.

Why not just edit the pdf and add your affiliate links in it?

No offence but the survey, buying things to get download what ever scheme would fly anymore. Mostly because people are pissed when the have to do things in order to get something the are likely to get somewhere else without the hussle. In addition after doing those thing most likely won't get you to the download. And come on only nuts gonna buy things to get a pdf downloaded.
If you pdf are legit meaning you are the copyright holder than try the ad biz, like banners, google, yahoo, and the filehoster that pays for small files.
If you are really convinced that people value you pdf than you ought to sell em eight by using only payment systems of by publishing them.
Everything else is mostly ballony. Don't let yourself or your visitors get screwed by fellas that promiss to give you 60 cent or even more for uploading to their server - mostly it's scamming, the won't pay you...... wast of time.

    4 steps....

    1) Get Adobe Indesign (or any other PDF editor), make your PDF's informative and attractive.
    2) Add some suitable affiliate links in your PDF's (remember to copy protect the content to avoid people changing your ads)
    3) Either:
    • Give 'em away on your site. Encourage people to pass 'em on to their friends
      or
    • Sell 'em on ebay for a minimal price, probs a dollar or so, with re-sale rights
    4) Let 'em flood the web

This will only work if your PDF's/EBooks are worth reading. Content that is unoriginal or just sucks will not grow wings.
