Will '3D' Revive The Domain Industry - 3D Domain Names (?)

i can tell the difference already how many names are gone... couple of weeks ago, it seemed like you had an open plain .. almost anything you typed in was available.... but now?... it's drying up and quick.


all we need now is to create some early media buzz... maybe one of us could write a tv station or newspaper and push for some pub... still too early to realistically do anything like that - would be a waste of energy as the retailers aren't even ready yet.... but come june, july and august, we should start seeing many of these items being displayed in stores and trickling into people's homes...

... my guess is that we'll really see a spike in value in these names right around the holiday's in 2010...3d will certainly be a much hotter item by then, so people will be searching for a lot of these names.


... but understandably so, not all of these names are built for the short term... some of these are two year, three year plans....

i think the BIG BREAK comes when two things happen:
(1) - 3d without glasses is a reality..(and it already exists)
... and
(2) - 3d hits our computers - again - without glasses


... i think the floodgates open on what we have then ...

... that's when the 3dAlaska's and the 3dShoesStores start living up to their potential

...again , that's just my opinion - no guts no glory!!
... i'd rather be $1,000 poorer than kicking myself for not taking the chance... i mean, think about it ... i only need ONE of these to be HALFWAY big to make out ok - it's like i have 175 lotto tickets ... and there, right there - IS the game


... there are not many times you get to take a chance on something that you believe is going to be big before the masses catch on to it, and while 3d is no secret - for a short time there, buying 3d domain names kinda was... i mean, NO - not really.. but KINDA - know what i mean?

 

While there may be some good dot coms left....is it time to pick up good .nets and 2 word dot coms with hyphens?

 

If you can get a super 3D Keyword.net domain buy it it's better to do that then buy a pointless 3dkeyword .com domain

hyphen domains maybe in a few months...there are still good .nets around.

You and I and many on this discussion are on the same page (literally). Great names by the way,,, It is that the general population does not see this the way we do. I personally believe the average person when wanting a domain name will see that name taken... then keep trying for other names. Getting a good name is unbelievable. I have 3DComputerSoftware.com number 4 on Google page 1. This is incredible for a website that is less than 1 month old, not to mention type-in traffic from 10 countries. Visit the website and scroll ALL THE WAY DOWN to see the counter. 3D Names are great for developing, just not sure how the rest of the world will realize how great a good 3D dOMAIN NAME is!!

 

Please tell me where you made that cool graphic. Nice Domain Name also.

i don't know .. still a ways away for me to really want to jump in on these and still too many that i think are better that are still available.

I do think that they will become pretty cool sites... but i grabbed the much lower risk dot-info's for geo targeting... the dot info almost makes more sense to me anyway... and besides...

... i'm running out of money

Could not have said it better. Many of us here believe in having 3D in domain names, I have been selling all my things on ebay to keep up with the renewal fees, and even borrowing money from my mom who does not have it. She who is 75 even believes in it or she would not give me the money. She pretty much owns my domain names as she has paid for most of them. Great headlines "Granny gets rich on 3D Domain Names".

you can go to your favorite registrar and place a backorder

in some cases - the name just 'clears waivers' and becomes free game

 

I have been buying domain names for awhile.. and I probably did sell it too cheap

I actually grabed a xx3d.com the other day (oa3d.com) because I thought oa was a good acronym for Open Access, and Open Access 3D makes sense.
