    Finally November is over.

Total earnings from Amazon US is $819.22, with a 7.82% conversion rate (a drop from my usual 10%)

Total earnings from all Amazon accounts is about US$1200 (depending on exchange rate).

Most profitable month yet, possibly because of the holiday season.

This is only my third month and I have earned about 7 dollars profit this month. My links are based on dog product reviews but somehow I got really lucky and my 2nd ever sale was a plasma tv!

that's why you don't promote products that cost more then $50 - $150
games niche is a great place where each game costs $50

well it's 4% for a start and can increase as up to 8%, it's pretty good because several reasons, a research conducted by http://www.channeladisor.com/
    http://www.searchmarketing.com/sear...rs-new-whitepaper-details-survey-results.html

shows that 70% of online purchases end up at ebay or amazon, so there is much more chance people are going to click on amazon ad, instead of other retailer's ad, and buy from amazon rather then buying from other unknown store, most amazon items are the cheapest at 'buy it now' from all other stores, so people don't need to think twice, and that's why 1 day cookie is all you need.

read above, people usually buy items instantly on amazon. if it's 15% commission there is something to think about. because amazon can reach 8% on good sale amounts. a lot of items at 15% are not cheap so maybe your conversion will be lower.

also, amazon has an api, what makes it a good use when you compare it to drop shipping, creating a store and letting people checkout is a great idea, instead of shifting people through ads and let them decide if to ad the product to the cart, or not. so integrated amazon api has only 1 step towards purchasing an item - if you have a store all they do is add the item to the cart after checking the item out - compared to other ways, such as letting the customer click on an ad, and then he leaves your site and actually needs to read the content all over again (product price, description, etc)

    hope that helps

If it's true, why I don't see decent number people making 5 digits a month (I am not even talking about 6 figures) with amazon or epn ? Clickbank, CJ and CPA networks outrank epn, amazon by easier and bigger profit. It's just what happening without any researches. I bet that review BS ordered by marketing teams of amazon and ebay. I NEVER bought anything from amazon or ebay for example, am I count ?:)

well then keep promoting other people's business, good luck with that.
i just use amazon api as it's comfortable.

and..you don't need a research tool to know that amazon and ebay has the highest market share, just go to google ad planner and it will tell you

Parka, near 10% is awesome.. I'm trying to move from EPN to Amazon, but am having poor luck with it! It's niche, targeted traffic, yet my conversions are only .39% (that's right, not even a half of 1%). Any tips on how to increase conversions on Amazon?

I'm using text links and tried the search widgets and banners, yet no luck!

ghost123, you know about what 30 day cookie is but don't know what is Clickbank and CJ, are you joking ? Well, I will help you - if you currently don't know what is CJ or Clickbank you have NO CHANCES in affiliate marketing.

Yeah totally. You better hope that guy buy's all his electronic items through your website. I'm actually shocked that a 55" flat screen retails for $3grand still. Most of the tv prices have been dropping like a rock. I remember when a 42" cost $3-4grand. But your likely to get a Panasonic/Samsung for under $1500 today.

Hey Thank you for the insult! Cookie is part of computer world and I am a techy guy so I know what it is! I have a very busy website and is only using ad banners (CPM ad networks). My site is getting 300k to 500k impressions per day and 9k to 15k uniques per day. So yeah I am new to affiliate programs, and I wanted to try it. I just was actually thinking that CJ is an abbreviation and it is but their website cj.com is "NOT" thanks to your insult! I will try both CJ and CB ;)

It may be a niche but it may not be targeted traffic. Install an (google) analytics for that. Check the search log for keywords people use on search engines to get on your site, and those keywords people search for when on your site.

You can get some ideas here

The way to earn is to spend time and a little effort on the product you're promoting. For me, that means writing a product review, that way my visitors are 90% likely to click on those links. If they don't buy the product immediately, they're more likely to carry on exploring Amazon and eventually buy something.

So, have a think and consider product review. It works like a dream for me and I'm very happy with what I earn monthly.

Good luck and hope you start earning soon as well.

    Helen
