I want to somehow automatically post 1 new affiliate program-fed tshirt to a blog I own, 1 new tshirt per day. The blog is a Wordpress blog. I'd also like to pre-write some generic text that will accompany the tshirts, that will be included in the post with each tshirt. I was thinking of writing about 7 different 'generic' descriptions, which would automatically be published in sequence....after 7 days, the 1st generic descriptions would then be published again. The blog, is alread set up, at bedroomflaw.com The tshirts published must be current tshirts available from an affiliate program (such as cj.com, shareasale, linkshare) etc. Any ideas how I would do this?
You could prepare each post into a text file, html included if you like, and then use BlogSense's Drop Posting module to mass read and schedule them . http://www.blogsense-wp.com/news/autoblog-drop-posting-module/ Or you if your affiliate provider has an rss feed you could use BlogSense's RSS module to use their content and then modify your outbound links using the text search and replace feature. Or you could just use the standard Wordpress post creation and scheduling systems to handle this project.
Good ideas. The thing is, I don't want to have to 'write' each individual post as such. I want to write 7 different post 'introductions', which will contain generic text, and then as the final part of the post I want a new product to be dynamically published, including an image and text link to the purchase page. Has this ever been done do you think? It's kind of like some of those ebay plugins you see that dynamically display current listings on ebay based on keywords, but with the inclusion of some additional generic text.
For the 7 different post introductions BlogSense has what is called header and footer profiles, which you could attach to the campaign created in the drop posting module. Here is a link to more information about it: http://www.blogsense-wp.com/news/autoblog-header-footer-content-blocks/ You could use spyntax to rotate intros {intro1|intro2|intro3} or created a paragraph that is spinnable "This is a {good|bad|short} sentence." As far as the product content, If you only have seven products, I still recommend hand preparing your posts. You can do this by going into the source code of the product sales page and just copy and pasting it into text files.
Since you're using Wordpress there's a couple of plugins that might help. For the generic text there's a Random Quotes plugin (I think that's the name) that will place random text into your posts. And Amazon affiliate program has some plugins. There's Amazon Showcase (free) which I haven't tried. Reviewazon and Amaniche seem to work well. There's several more, but you may also want to checkout Popshops (just Google it)
Ok, that Random quotes plugin sounds like it might be handy. I've just realised I need a plugin that automatically generates posts (which incorporate affiliate links and image from some sort of feed) - does such a thing exist?
Those plugins I mentioned does the trick. I forgot that with Reviewazon you'll have to manually add them. When I drip feed using Reviewazon I use the Wordpress scheduling feature. I forgot to mention WPRobot (not free, but you may be able to find the free Amazon plugin still floating around someplace), I haven't used the Amazon module, but it's there, and you can drip feed articles, youtube, yahoo answers as well. There's another Associate-O-Matic I think it's an annual fee, and I'm not sure if it drip feeds.
*What kind of affiliates? **Do they have rss feeds? Associate - o -matic doesn't have a wordpress solution I don't believe. I actually had a associate o mati site that I transfered over to BlogSense. I'm still trying to push it up in the ranks over time: http://www.batmanactionfigures.us Here is an example site (though not really maintained) I made with BlogSense's Amazon Poster. http://www.spielkonsolenkaufen.com . It's running an older version of BlogSense so some images are broke. The site above totally automated, but as far as a money making site, totally worthless -- because of the market I picked and the lack of seo work. I did zero market research. I just wanted to try at a high dollar product targeting germany using amazon.de. It's turned out to be a dud. But I'll leave going for a year and see if it starts to convert anything. If it ends up paying for it's yearly cost I'll keep it. That would require about 3 sales a year. Which I think is possible!
Thanks Bob - there seems to be quite a few Random Quotes plugins out there. Is there one in particular that you are referring to?
It's been a while since I've used it and the site is no longer there zombierobot.com/wp-quotes/ However, there's one on the Wordpress site that seems to be what you're looking for http://lorelle.wordpress.com/2006/1...uote-generator-wordpress-plugin-now-a-widget/
you could just get a free shareasale to wordpress loader from owagu at : http://shareasale.owagu.com/free-fully-working-version-now-available/ combined with a randomizer it will do the trick for you. If you need additional tricks on this script send me a PM and I can modify the script for you. owagu keymaster
