Using a wordpress theme with a coded footer, is it worth it?

Just as the title says. Its not the normal type of encryption I have seen where you can decode it using the index.php, view source, then cut and paste it in the footer.php. If you remove it or edit it my blog stops working and it comes up with a message about removing the footer.

So basically my question is, should I just put up with it? It also has come encryption in the header.php. I'm new to php and css and so on so I have no clue if its really bad, or just a couple of links in the footer. Any help or info is appreciated :)

Yea, that is what I was thinking. I thought that a lot of the plugins might not work due to this encryption and some of them dont. I get 500 errors left and right, I change the settings on some plugins and they do not work. Its annoying because I really like the theme. Oh well.
