On the plus side governments generally responded well in procuring and storing vaccines. We don't need them now, but vaccinations are the kind of things it's better to have and not need than need and not have. It also gave them a good dry run in dealing with the outbreak of a communicable disease.
If you consider India, then even everyone are mainly concentrating on shi*t discussion between SRK and Shivsena. Funny enough, when I was travelling through HIV ridden countries, like Thailand or Cambodia, people there were not afraid of getting AIDS. They were all afraid of getting Swine Flu. It was weirding me out. In a place where 1 in 50 people have HIV, they don't think it's dangerous and don't protect themselves. but mention Swine Flu and they all run and hide in horror.

I was a little freaked out about swine flu because there hasn't been an epidemic for awhile, mainly because science has suppressed them but there is that threat of a super virus that we don't have an answer for, not capable of handling.
I think we are facing such problems because we are not going on the right path as given by GOD. Such diseases are a warning sign from God for all of us. Let's prepare for the day of judjment.
