Which directories send you the most traffic?

If you have any way to get local traffic, Yellowpages.com and Superpages have lots of organic and direct traffic. Very good for anything local.

 

i don't keep track of which specific directories send traffic but i've done some good bit of work on directory submissions the last 14-18 months or so, and they do send some traffic in fact i'm kind of surprised by which ones send traffic.
yahoo and dmoz still send a bit but certainly not like 5-8 years ago or more. but overall might be 2-5% of all traffic from directories it's not much, but......

 

Same here, not much traffic from directories.

 

local directories and niche directories can bring good traffic, general directories are for backlinks

 

high traffic web directories can give you traffic too , but mostly you get back link from free web directories

Theoretically somebody looking in a directory would be keenly interested in the subject matter that they are browsing. My analytics shows much longer time on site from directory traffic in general

 

Try to get premium links to get maximum traffic from directories.

 

Directories send tiny tiny amounts of traffic, they are used mostly for back links and classification

 

I don't think directories will give you the traffic.

 

i have got a handful of links from dmoz and the yahoo directory in 5 years. thats the top 2 you'd probably say. think what you're going to get from all the rest. i get way more hits from article sites.

 

yeah, i haven't many visitor form dic but it contains good PR

 

I think that DMOZ and Yahoo getting most traffic from it..

 

DMoz works, i get good traffic from it on one of my sites
