Withdrawal to India banks from Paypal through XOOM is Working. Confirmed and Tested.

Thanks for the advice humm. I'll follow it. Also, I initiated the transfer some 3 days ago. That is , it took me 60-70 hours to reach the "completed" stage of xoom and the payment is still in unclear state in the bank.

PS: why is the bank showing the txn id as blah - blah - CHQ -blah ? Do they use cheque methods? Of course not!!

Through XOOM Staff says I can transfer using them BUT they eventually Can celled my Transfer

TOO BAD.I asked them the reason ,will see if they help someway...

 

Ok Just used FEBXOOM10 and it is working great. Guys use it quickly to transfer money before it expires !

Yes... you are right! They work for you only once... irrespective whether you are using xoom for the first time or since ages!

I wonder though... without the fees, how does Xoom make its money!

Currency rates i guess

1 U.S. dollar = 46.3994061 Indian rupees = Google Rate

USD 1.00 = INR 46.0031 = Xoom Rate

 

I just looked at Paypal's exchange rate and the same quotes at 44.872! That is surely a very big cut!

I now understand why Paypal prefers not to charge anything for its withdrawal services!

Yeah man paypal is really sucks want to quite paypal, xoom is really good but my clients don't use xoom ..

 

My transaction got cancelled and the worst thing is now the coupon code shows as expired.

 

Do not use the same coupon code twice, as the same would surely lead to cancellation of the transaction!

The funny -part is they cancel transcations in minutes but take ages to reply to appeals

 

I used xoom2010 for only 1 transaction.

if I transfer the money today - and it goes through the PP part. I mean at PP, it starts showing "completed" , what are the chances that PayPal will be able to reverse it. Have lost all confidence that my money WILL be there on Monday going by the whimsical treatment PP gave us over the last 2 weeks ..
