I've heard marketers say that ppc doesn't work for selling ebooks since the visitors aren't motivated to buy, not pre-sold enough, and that ebook sales mostly come from people emailing to a list. Is anyone having success with marketing CB with Adwords, Yahoo, Bing, media buys, facebook, etc?
Hi mate, You have sort of answered your own question Yes if you direct link with Adwords you can get a few sales promoting cb products if you pick your keywords very carefully. However you are far better maybe setting up a WP blog or landing page of some osrt and collecting emails in exchange for a free report. Also then you can move onto to other networks. Chris
That depends how you motivate them to buy and pre-sell them, doesn't it? In my experience that part's true. But you can certainly use PPC to build the list. I build all mine by article marketing, myself, but I don't doubt that some people do dramatically well with PPC.
I'm having decent success directing people to my landing page from adwords. I'm not sure what you mean, really. Are you intending to send people directly to a domain redirected to a sales page? If so, I imagine that your conversions would be terrible and not worthwhile. Not to mention I think your quality score would suffer.
As with anything dealing with internet marketing, there really isn't a clear cut answer. Here are some examples of what I mean. Some software such as registry cleaners have pretty good conversions (on the right kw) with direct linking. If your ad says something like Free Scan in it and then they land on a landing page, might make them rethink. I have had better success with direct linking on these. Another scenario is this, you have a 1 in 50 conversion on a product and a 50% ctr on your landing page. That means that you are really only converting 1 in 100. If direct linking on that particular product converted better than 1 in 100 you would be better off with direct linking. Of course I would just work on getting my ctr higher but you get the point. Other variables to consider are quality scores, the loss of being able to capture email addresses and sometimes disapproved ads. The only way to know for sure is like everything else....Test.
The biggest CB affiliates all do PPC. You can't get the volume of traffic needed with straight SEO/ article writing etc. But there's an art to it. And you need deep pockets and not be adverse to risk, especially when testing a new product.
the google cash method become redundant a long time ago, when adwords prevented duplicate url's on the same page.
