We are currently using blogger to give a snip of info and linking this to the correct page of our main site.

However there seem to be NO backlinks coming from the blog ?

Also our blog out ranks our site for 70% of targeted key words ?

Will Comments carry a follow link ?

Sorry for all of the questions....

If someone could assist this would be of much use.

    Many Thanks

blogger by default is nofollow. You have to edit the html to delete the nofollow tag

How do you do this? I have a few blogs for my websites and would like the links to count.

    Thanks!

Go to templates>>html, ctrl+f to find all instances of rel='nofollow' and delete them.

I have read that all of the default blogger templates are not SEO friendly and it's is better to find free and better templates to use. They are a breeze to install, if I remember correctly the good ones offer an xml download and you just upload that in the templates area of blogger.

I am not sure what most of you are talking about. All my blogger blogs have links that are not "nofollow." (There is no such thing as dofollow)

I have not changed a thing.

Blogpsot is indeed SEO's right out of the box. It's owned by google and they love it quite dearly.

My links count just fine. But just to check, I just went to them, looked at the source code. Not a single "nofollow."

My free blogspot beat the pants off my paid domain wordpress ones.
The only reason I can think of is google.

I use a mix of free hosted blogs from blogger, wordpress, yola, thumblogger etc. I also have hosted wordpress sites on sports related niches :)

The most impt thing is content and traffic.
