I was wondering if anyone had a Do's and Don't list for writing good ad copy on Adwords. Seems like someone out there should have something which clearly defines Adwords best practices for high conversion. I'm just getting into Adwords and trying to make as few mistakes as possible. Any advice would be helpful.
Do read and follow policies found here: adwords.google.com/support/aw/bin/static.py?page=guidelines.cs Do use keywords that are relevant.
Don't just add a bunch of non-relevant or very broad based keywords. Make sure that you understand the difference between broad - phrase - exact match. If you broad match general words you are going to get a gazillion impressions and probably eat through your money quick.

My #1 tip would be - until you know better, make sure you use exact match on your keywords! Once you really know what you are doing, you can loosen the reins a little...
You should use a perfect keyword to convert the visitor into a buyer. Try to use relevant keyword of your product. For example if you're promoting a product- say- "chicken coop", you should use the keyword "Buy chicken coop". Don't use "How to rear chickens in your Backyard". Got it?
