OK here is the question I found a domain that is available which if a three letter domain but it is one of those weird tld's like .uk.me (or similar) So let's use an example and say it was diy.org.uk as opposed to B & Q's diy.com would you register the domain? This question is aimed at those who have suceeded in regards to SERPS with such a domain. It would be nice if you could show the search terms you succeeded with to please. The reason I ask is because I don't want to waste my time purchasing this 3 letter domain if the tld extension is not going to get anywhere on the search engines so b4 I take the plunge with an experiemnt to see if it will work I would like to hear others experience in this regard.
If I were you I would foget about buying subdomains like .uk.me, .uk.com, .us.com, etc. Why would you want to buy a subdomain on a domain that someone else owns All you have to do is look at what happened to all those people that owned domains on the .web.com extention, now they've got nothing
.org.uk isn't a subdomain but names like us.com, or all the other xx.com names are. Don't know much about .uk names but I don't think that .org.uk is very popular, especially compared to .co.uk. Maybe someone who is from the UK or deals with them can comment further. Plus being the .uk extention, you'd only really be targeting people from the UK, if that's your target market.
ORG.UK is the second cTLD in popularity after CO.UK so your chances to succeed depends on the target audience and development in mind., ME.UK isn't a subdomain either but this isn't as popular as ORG.UK, sometimes cheaper registration tho. If I were you I would monetise a weird LLL domain providing proxy or shortening URL services.
OK Thanks people Is there anyone who can show they have some success (&page 1 SERPS) using such a domain ext?
