    Dude,
Everyone knows how our judicial system works.. The cases and filing law suits are the jobs of people who have free time on their hands.. Moreover, the law suit has to be filed out of India on PayPal. I don't think me or any other fellow here for that matter has both time and money to waste on following up something which will cause only more waste of time and money. Also we being inexperienced in penal and legal matters doubt if this is even a case. I once tried to file a complaint in a consumer court against a company who cheated a whole lot of people. The outcome was that the consumer court didn't even admit the case even though it was a straightforward fraud. Upon this experience I deny to waste any more of my time on this. Its better to wait for this to be resolved.

I emailed them today here's the reply: Nothing new..still the same...
But they did say that withdrawal to credit card is going fine:

"Yes, you may withdraw your funds to your credit card. In regards to bank withdrawals, we are doing everything we can to process your withdrawal as soon as possible; however, we do not have a specific timeframe to share at this time.

I'll be glad to hear from you if you need clarification and we will do our best to give you immediate answers or you can also visit www.PayPal.com/101. Thank you for choosing PayPal for your online payment needs. We appreciate your business.

    Sincerely,
    Tasha Krista

Worst condition then ever. Even in last year, it took only 8-10 days to solve the problem but looks like this time it is going to take more then a month.:(

It's another canned one pal. What's the role of technicians regarding withdrawals? I shot them another mail and got the same response as earlier. Don't know when this is gonna end :(

Exactly. I really wonder what's making paypal to delay this long time. Aren't they satisfied enough with Indian customers? I guess not. If they really give importance to Indians, then they should've solved after discussing with RBI by now.

I guess Paypal dragged on the issue with RBI for too long and now since their operation is in the docks, RBI would not be satisfied with any half measures and would see to it that Paypal complies fully. This would invariably mean that the waiting period would be long! :(

They not gona shut PP for Indian users, but will apply extra charges just like Western Union and MoneyGram as this whole issue is of foreign currency. All that means, at least to me is to get ready for extra charges on every withdrawal. Also, I guess, everyone who will get that withdrawal, needs to be verified by govt. agencies because he is accepting the foreign money, which means more paper works, the registration process (submitting your proof of residence, just like what we do if we want to get a new mobile sim connection etc).
All it means is the smooth transactions we were getting will be smooth, but with Sarkari Tadka :)

Google adsense cheques are payable at par at all citibank branches in India.

    So are the paypal cheques.

Does anyone knows that how paypal ones are not good enough and google ones are going through?

I think the check withdrawals are working and the checks are going through/clearing also. Only not working is the direct bank withdrawals.

Oh :) Well if cheques do work then its fine.

As Direct deposit to banks has just been introduced in India sometime ago. While check payments were going on from years. No worries if cheques are working.

CityBank is a bank, because of that, tax hungry govt. is getting some revenues from check payment, but not from the direct bank withdrawals, and forever tax hungry Indian government doesn't like that. So, it is death sure that we will face extra charges on each and every withdrawal.
