Paypal was the best thing that could happen to the Indian job market. It immediately connected Western buyers with low cost workers. But the whole method was illegal. Also lot of transactions were taking place amongst Indians themselves. So let us all grow up realize facts & move on. Online money transfer is a great opportunity for Banks and Iam sure they must be doing something.
Its very strange how the western countries have regulated their monetary systems so well and why only India developed a restrictions ... if its an end of PayPal in India its an end of the different world and scope of oppurtunities like us in this internet world . I accept the fact and no matters what the India or PayPal comes upto , for me it doesnt matter .
The condition of our banks in india is still worse. Go to any bank see how difficult it is to send a bank transfer for a foreign country (eg. webhosting etc) .They wont even encourage you send a foreign bank transfer from india to other countries without difficult paperwork. All they want is foreign currency inflow from NRI workers. Even western union is regulated and you wont be able to send money from india to other countries. I think india has so much to learn from western countries and their monetary systems and has a long long way to go, rather than benefiting from measly foreign currency exchange rate.
indian banking system is so strong. thats why they stand in recent times, when worlds top most banks are in crises or even colepesed. yes i agree that there are so much paper work. but its good for us.
Alternatives to paypal are there. so guys dont b dishearted. we can keep exploring and earning thru internet. I just transferred 2900 usd to my bank ac in india using xoom (www.xoom.com) which is faster than paypal
are you drunk or weak in gk ?? Indian RBI system is the best currently with active monitoring service, if RBI was not harsh in its terms, there would be lot more terrorist fundings and India might have collapsed in recession just like western nations, its them who have to learn a lot from RBI I agree our paper work is lengthy, RBI has to work it up, but are you Indian by any means ?? If no, then I don't think u need to worry about our problems, if you don't like paypal or RBI policies shift to alternatives and stop making excuses
Its hard to believe that Paypal has been a cause of trouble for few countries of the south-eastern But I can assure the fact that Paypal is the most reliable and easy to handle online account in the western.
Totally agreed, stopping cash inflow of black money is another way to stop corruption and terrorism and this is why RBI revises their policies from time to time. Though PayPal and RBI is taking time to come to conclusion to fix this up for genuine people but I am sure once they will be done, it gonna benefit us only. Thanks
Everybody is effected. But we have to look at alternatives. Paypal was immature and did not register properly with RBI like any other bank would. Or otherwise what is the difference between a hawala dealer and paypal? Tomorrow you will open a Bank. Liberalization and open economy does not mean working without any rules.
What make you think that he is not indian... james Smith can also be indian, this board is not indian only... everybody can express his feelings Lastly @james - Paypal is not illegal in india, it's just that RBI has made some changes in policy and paypal did not secure the required authorization well in time... Hope they will take necessary steps now and start working again ...
