Noob Questions...

Hey, I just started researching CJ to add to my website, Im currently running adsense, but in my sector they only have a few ads on Adsense, so I think that might be why im not getting many clicks, if people arent interested in the 5-10 ads ive seen displayed on my site, or if theyve clicked them once, there would be no reason to click them again...

    Questions....

    1) Is it ok to run CJ with adsense in tandem?

    2) Any noobie tips to get started?

    3) Do I need to start a new CJ account for each website that I have, or...like adsense, can i simply post that same code onto different sites and have it all tracked in the main control panel.

thanks for any/all help! much appreciated!!

    1. Yes. You can run CJ and AdSense on the same site/page.
    2. Don't bother with banners. Look for Text Link > "Advertiser allows URL redirects for this link" and add custom (text) deep links to your content.
    3. It's worth getting a new PID for each site (just so you can track where the clicks are coming from). Go to... Account > Web Site Settings > Add A New Website.

    :)

awesome thank you!! Just curious, what is your reasoning behind not using banners? *people recognize them more as advertisements and thus are more likely to click text links??

Unless you've got a lot of moronic traffic, people simply don't click banners anymore. And the ones that do aren't smart enough to buy anything anyway :)

That said... I occasionally make my own banners and use them instead of text links - but this is only on sites where I know my traffic/demographic backwards, and I know exactly what will turn them on or off.

    1) Yes, you can run both CJ and Adsense on the same site.

    2) Build sites around the brand names of merchants and products.

    3) No, you don´t need to create a new account for each site. Just add sites to your account and then paste the link onto them.
