Paranormal activity HD trailer: http://movieswatchonline.org/2010/01/paranormal-activity-2007.html However it sucks in my opinion. You should go for Asian Horror Movies.
SHould see PAranormal Activity and CAse 39.Both are great..I'm sure you'll not going to sleep alone.....
Go check out "Antichrist" by Lars von Trier. It will change you for the worse. There is gore in the film that should never have been put on camera. Here's a quote from a live action fox in the movie that is self-disemboweling, "Chaos...reigns." It's super disturbing.
Here are a few random suggestions from movies within the horror genre that I've watched in the last few months. Vacancy 2: The First Cut (Horror-Thriller) Idle Hands (Comedy-Horror, has Seth Green, Jessica Alba, and Vivica A. Fox in it!) Drive Thru (It's low budget and cheesy but there are funny parts and passable plot/acting) Summer's Blood (Probably the one I'd recommend the most out of this list) Circle of Eight (Kind of weird but if you have a decent attention span you might enjoy it) The Beacon (More of a thriller, but a decent story, good sound effects, should keep you entertained) Babysitter Wanted (Entertaining, weird plot though) The list is just of recent movies (except Idle Hands) as I already watched my fair share of horror movies from the 70's-90's on VHS years ago. Still getting used to watching movies online, Netflix and such. Here are the two (horror) movies I plan to watch tonight: Deadgirl, The Cottage, and Pontypool.
Event Horizon is the only movie I can remember that actually made me 'jump'. It didn't win any awards but I thought it was ok.
Try Thailand horror movies if you are up to this kind of horror movies. Shutter is my favorite (not the Hollywood version). See the trailer and cutscenes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1V9PoLX6lfo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aq4H-QhaMzQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sp4lD5aFbLo
*shudders* I watched that at a screening in Chicago last year. *shudders* I completely agree and know which scenes your talking about for the "There is gore in the film that should never have been put on camera."
