Hey every one, I have a video search engine in it's early stages. It allows people to watch videos from multiple video sites all in one place and download those videos directly from my site. When the videos play on my site, the original website's watermark stays visible at all times. I don't want to spam the forum but it might help if you took a look at the site. The website is videocounty.com Am I doing anything illegal? Thanks, Theo.
These websites allow the embedding function, so no it's not illegal. If you're linking to tv shows though it can get your site down (like what happened with Tv-Links.Co.uk). Just searching videos is fine, they allow embedding, so it's their choice and their fault
You can clarify point that the site using Embedding function to run the website! that can save your site
I may add read all the terms stated by both your hosting service and the sites from where you are pulling in videos.
You will be fine. I have several sites that utilize embedding of youtube videos that are copyright.. Worse case scenario is the video is deleted.. If it happens too much your youtube account will be banned.. This is about all.
