Hi there, I have PR 1 site for Google Street View sightings. I have very consistent traffic, but very low adsense returns. Take a look at todays stats so far. Page impressions: 16,137 Clicks 13 Page CTR0.08% Page eCPM [?]$0.12 Estimated earnings$1.97 Any idea why? http://streetviewgallery.corank.com Thanks in advance! Mapper
I'd be careful giving your full stats (TOS issue) especially if you give your site name like that! I suspect part of your "problem" is that your site is interesting, people are going there for the content and are actually finding things to look at (heaven forbid lol)
Thanks for the heads up, Adpubster. Unfortunately, I am unable to edit my post to remove the stats! Guess I need to have a higher access level... Cheers, M
I think a lot more is the CTR than his keywords. He's got a good content site that has stirred interest. That, to me, is better than having "HPK" If he can up the CTR and maintain the traffic and keep his interest in the site, that will trump HPK in the long run. A search box would not hurt, though.
Yep, I think that is the bottom line. With such a diverse set of traffic, how can I target HPK? Perhaps most of my visitors don't care about debt consolidation, etc. Perhaps recreation related content, or travel related content? What do you think? Mapper
Try to use image ads and ads at the frequently search or visitor page. Try to locate the exact location for ads.
I'm not sure, but I think it has some something to do with the topic that you have. As you can see (for example), music website can have lots of traffic, so, Google give it low CTR. On the other hand, there are topics that gives high CTR even it has just a few visitors for such topics.
Ads appearing on your site are not related to your content. This may be another issue why users are not interested on Ads appearing on your blog and less likely to click.
difference between yours which is boughten and good traffic wich is organic. Boughten traffic never converts thats why its so cheap.
I would say it's because your site offers so much content and so many non-revenue earning links, that it reduces the odds of your visitors clicking on your AdSence ads.
I think its you ad placement, try moving your ads around. they are out of the picture. you need them with the content.
