XOOM is not a permanent solution. It is more used for small personal transactions. If the govt. agencies know about it, it will the first thing thrown out of the world. We need paypal to Get Well Soon!!!

@Psych, you can't do Cash Pick-up in India if you're sending to yourself. You can only do Bank Transfer and Home Delivery.

M sure that they will not support you consistently... At times you may see "Processing" for 3 days and finally a "canceled transaction"

Not true, XOOM is in this business many years, u can use XOOM for bigger transaction as well, you can also increase your withdrawn limit, u just need to give them more details.

    Yuppi !
I got money in my bank account by Xoom Transfer.
However it charged 10USD as fee but it's okay as of now because PayPal is not telling us date of resolution.
I made transfer just today morning and got money now (same day ! ).

yes xoom is not reliable. Even my transaction was cancelled on 9th feb and the amount was credited back in paypal. Xoom didn't even specift the reason behind the cancellation. Paypal is far better than xoom. :):)

    Yes.
I do agree Xoom is not a solution.
But at this point, when PayPal is unsure about resolution date, it's quite better alternative.

    Hi All,

I am also one of the worst hit guys from this pp issue, I was reversed $370 instead of $400 (loss of $30), I contacted pp and got a reply something like:

"you will also see a separate PayPal reimbursement for any withdrawal fees charged and variance in the foreign exchange rate over the last week. This should ensure that you will not be adversely affected by currency fluctuations during the last week."

And Today what I see paypal deposited $1.95 as "bonus from paypal" if this is what the fees that they were going to return instead of $30 then what's the fun of assuring people of no adverse affect becuase of the whole issue! If they needed some they could have begged, i wouldn't mind paying them $30. I am very much frustrated like you all, I am going to wait for one more day, if they pay me the full amount deducted will surely thank them, otherwise will definitely think about someway to drag their ass legally!

Share what you got as fees reimbursements!

Nothing to worry Folks.. suspending personal payments is okay.. expect the withdrawal to Indian banks to be fixed soon..
