Ok so I found the domain name that I want. However, there is a problem with it. It is in something called a "redemption period", and godaddy says it is unavailabe. The domain expired on 12/23/09 and I did a little research on what a "redemption period" is and apparently these are only supposed to last for 30 to 35 days. The attachment is a screenshot from who.is. Can someone tell me if this domain will be available soon? Edit: the website was previously parked, if that helps.
75-80 days from expiration to drop date for com and net. The less attention you give it the better the chance you will get it.
I figure out which one and that's the point. OP can wait til the end of the redemption period and even backorder the domain but who knows how many takers are behind it and it's more likely those huge snatcher companies buy to park it
Protip: Don't use GoDaddy. They're infamous for stealing good domain names. Good luck with your purchase
It can be. Essentially the question is how much is the domain name worth for some to be willing to pay more than what others can afford. Good luck. And be ready to search for another if it doesn't work out.
Earlier... I was of the opinion that one could get domain names after 30 days of expiry but that is not the case. One has to invariably wait for more than 75-80 days to be able to do so. It is just too hard and one has to be really lucky to get the desired domain name... even after such a long wait! Regards, RightMan
If you really want it, go to pool.com and shell out at least $60 for the possibility of an auction. Or snapnames.
