Xoom's Fee's are quite high as compared to paypal isn't it?
Like if you transfer 300$ you'll be charged 15$

but then again paypal conversion rates are low. yet paypal will transfer more amount in INR.

As PP has taken the money from my account (around $22), I sincerely hope they will use this money for charity purposes, not for buying Valentine Day gifts for their girlfriends.

How Many of you believe this guy anuj from paypal statement ?
It seems all this mess was created by paypal when RBI ask them only questions about personal payments and they have in effect messup all business accounts as well.
I don't know if paypal issue in India will be solved or not but its time to move on and look for alternates.

Paypal will do it again and again...

As you know, there is not a better alternative of PayPal right now, specially for the small amounts, as they already allowed to withdraw even $50 or less (although Rs.50 will be taken as charge if the amount is not higher than Rs. 7K), so a freelancer like me whose earning is around $xxx each month, I really need to depend upon PayPal, no matter if they cheat or not.

First let you know RBI is not only regulators in India their are several Regulators are their who need verification from any financial institute and now you can see XOOM also reverting money on the based of same problem. PayPal is working in this and within next few days we can receive bank transfer.

Also don't forgot PayPal still provide you option to take your money through Check. So your money still can reach your banks if you ready to wait for few more days then normal EFT.

I had initiated a withdrawal through Xoom on sundaty.. The status still shows Partner processing. From what I heard the Xoom transfer to Bank account takes days... maybe 7 days.

    Hello Guys.
PayPal credited the money to be withdraw in account.
I needed it in bank account soon so I used Xoom to withdraw.
However Xoom has fee of 10USD, it is okay in this situation because PayPal is unsure about the time required to solve issue.

Indian Govt and the tax dept are just stupid people... On one hand they cry that there are more imports than exports and when we bring in $$ for them they create problems for us... All they do is comply with our corrupt politicians. They are not bothered about us.. useless people... All this remittance issue is because of taxation. They want to tax paypal for the fees they collect from transactions to or from indian accounts. Thats why they must have brought up the issue and led to Paypal reversing our withdrawals and all the personal payments. IF Paypal doesnt get fees on personal payments neither does out Indian Tax dept....

India is a way lot outdated.
Paypal has something caleld Paypal (Debit) card, which students or others can use in The US/UK for shopping in shops that accept Paypal.
In india, there's hardly a few shops that accepts paypal, so even if paypal introduces the feature, i doubt if anyone would hardly use it.

About the withdrawls, paypal should restore all the reversal and other fees back to the paypal acount.
Xoom on their website says 1Day for PNB Transfer and a bit more for other banks. But they are delaying till 7Days heh?
