So according to paypal's new update...we need to contact our clients to send money as "purchase", but what about services? and affiliate paypents (mass payments)?

They're not going to. It's unlikely that Paypal wants to have a list of millions of upset customer publicly announcing it on their own site. I wouldn't count on comments being approved on that post ever. Otherwise, if they are allowing them, it's probably going to take a few weeks to moderate them.

please don't wish so... there's still no alternative as versatile and most importantly 'available' as PayPal.

Conditions are improving, nice to hear this.
has anyone called paypal and inquired regarding the fixing of "Withdrawal to Indian Bank" issue ?

When will this option be restored and start working ?

Hope everything will be allright by the weekend

Do you think Indian freelance writers would be affected because of the removal of personal payment option by PayPal.

Not necessarily at all. The services option has always been the appropriate option to use.

Actually I read somewhere in this thread only, around 20 - 30 posts back, someone posted that he have talked with a Paypal Official and he said that now we can proceed and make money withdrawals as Withdrawal to Indian Banks option has started working again.

Does anyone have any word to support this argument ?

They will only reimburse withdrawal fee charges, not currency conversion fee..
