Boss this is not at all good news. In fact the next thing government would do is to put a check on other services as well. Since paypal is the biggest they stopped it first. I don't know whats next in store for us.

Well we just came out from one problem and end with another problem but logically it's not a problem but they should revert same amount which we requested since it doesn't completed means they have reverse same amount!

I withdrawn my money to my bank account yesterday... today it got reversed with a reversal fee :O :(

I lost a big amount of money as reversal fee..

Amount was never credited in my bank account , and transaction was canceled. they are just making money even from their own mistake.they are charging conversion fee.

I want my money back and i will fight for it. This is simple cheating, why are they charging conversion fee on amount which was never converted and transferred.?

I believe you can transfer from Paypal to Xoom if you have an Indian bank account as proved by hdwills in the last few hrs:

Yesterday evening I decided to test out XOOM for transferring money from my paypal account to my bank account in India. Here are the details

    1. Transfer Amount : $300.00
    2. Fees Charged: $19.99
    3. Exchange Rate: Rs. 46.23
    4. Coupons Used: None
    5. Paypal Account Type: Premier
    6. Bank: IndusInd Bank, India
    7. Bank Account Type: Savings Account

The approximate time of withdrawal was 6:45 PM on 8th February 2010
The money was credited to my bank account at 5:23 PM on 9th February 2010
The payment is credited by "BUY INDIA ONLINE.COM.INC PUNB0225400"

Total time taken: Approx 24 hours.

I have talked with PayPal customer care 2 days ago. The customer service rep said me to fax my bank account statement to them.
I didn't done it. I thought what they can do with my bank account statement.
And the last update is I had withdrawn an amount of $59 to my bank account on Jan 26. But today when I logged in to my PayPal account I can see that $56 is came back to my account.
I am asking PayPal that where is my 6 dollars?
Did anyone got the amount you had already withdrawn, reversed to your PayPal account ?

just another way to eat users money :(

infact they should add 5$ to our amount as they always tried to deduct if transaction fails in withdrawal. it fails due to their fault but we need to waste our money

If you notice they did actually send the same amount back In INR. but the bastards were Cheeky Instead of putting back the same amount of foriegn currency they had transfered they transfered back the INR tht was at the time of withdrawal.

In a way it was the same amount of money.

This was their way of getting more money out of paypal india users they tried making the best of the goddamn situation.

What they dont realise is tht this cud bite them in the ass if all the useres whose account went into negative balance decide not to get this back to positive.

in tht case the account balnce remains in negative and paypal dsent get the extra puonds or dollars it wished it had got by users trying to get the balances out of negative.

If the users do put in funds to get their balances out of negative then paypal wins. if they do not then paypals also looses on money cuase of fluctuating exchangerates and also becuse they are messing with indians. tht is because the indian ruppe against dollar has just gone up.

    hehe just a thought,
to screw paypal issue a refund for any amount you have got in the last 60 days and let the account balances go in negative.

This is if the buyer had used a credit card to make the paymet through paypal.

In tht case the refund will go back to the buyers credit card and not paypals account. and ask the buyers to send money through another source :)

But this would be only if the seller has a low amount in his paypal account
and the refund make it go into negative.

and also only if the buyer is willing to pay agian through an alternate source

PAypal will have to send the money to the credit card and go into some if not much amnt of dept

    hehe just a thought

do u think people will put the money for getting paypal accounts if the amount exceeds even 250$ i really doubt any one do because its paypal fault. they may choose to use new id and a bank instead :p

Agreed. But I also know, for a fact, that this is being abused by other people in other countries too - Maybe India is just too huge a market and we 'caught' their eye. Still, nothing justifies service payments being reversed or withdrawals being delayed..and then reversed after deduction of fees. They should have reversed all personal payments and left it at that.

tht is what i am hoping happens as this is utterly ridiculous. users shud let those accounts remain in negative and choose an alternate id or source
