Ans to Q1 - At the moment is NO..

They just reversed the bank transfer.. and for my $700 withdrawal, they only credited back $646, pocketing a cool $54..

Ans to Q2, If it eases their payment process, and it is safe, I'm sure clients won't have a problem.

The reason why we all started using Paypal is that everyone in the USA uses it and its easy for them to pay thru Paypal. Even in the US , you have only two major e-payment methods - credit cards or Paypal.

The main problem is that there is no reliable alternative, which is why we all use Paypal. Its not like mobile service providers in India, where you have 20 to choose from and all offer competive services.

Absolutely unfair business practice by Paypal. A lot of things are being done in user accounts without any information/intimation to the account holders.

    1. My Withdrawal from paypal for $1000 (44000) got reversed today.
    2. I got only 910 dollars ($90 dollars loss due to conersion).
    3. Stangely when you try to convert $910 to INR today in Paypal (From Withdraw to bank, currency converter) it is around 41000 only.

i.e. When today paypal reversed Rs.44000 to USD, it added $910 to my account and on same day, if I withdraw the 910$, I will get only Rs.41000

I have another 2 withdrawals of $1000 pending, which I think will get reversed and alomost 10K loss plus no funds to use and the worst part, No communication or intimation by Paypal while they are doing all this.

I have decided to stop Paypal for all my future transactions and will go with an Indian Payment gateway for online credit card payments. (looking at ccavenue and transecute...)

Since when did ICICI bank start providing customer care in webmaster forums.

Good work anyways but do you have any idea of what is going on with paypal India and if it is an RBI problem or something else.

Anyways never knew that banks also check threads in webmaster forums and that too an international one to solve customer's problems. :D

..that Paypal hasnt come out and give any official notice or information as to whats happening. Even big companies goof up sometimes, but they would come up front about it- unless they have something to hide, which is what Paypal seems to be doing.
