I was reading on a thread where people was making 3d domains just a simple "3dlaptops.com" and where selling them over $100+ just because of the name, how many of you just make a domain and sell it profit straight away, was jst wondering if thats how you guys did it, i wouldn't like to buy a domain and pay to keep it every year even if you do pay little you need to make profit so why not make it straight away - sorry if there is already a subject like this. Many thanks Scott
i know a few guys who do it and they actually make some decent money. ive not had much luck in it though.
You can sell any domain names especially if they have value in terms of type-in traffic or keywords demand. For non .coms, it is better to have a site that comes with it so that you can flip it for higher price.
Yes. Many people do this. No, it isn't as easy as you make it sound. You have to be knowledgeable and experienced in this field - you can't just go around registering a bunch of domain names expecting to sell them $100 a piece. Most of the time, newbies try to do this and end up losing a bunch of money.
No need hosting at all if you only selling domain. Not just .com and domain extension also have it own value
Domaining is much harder these days since a majority of the good domains have already been registered. You probably won't find many unregistered domains where you can flip for thousands of dollars in profit or more.
Well for the keywords demand id just follow the trend, I heard it's now 3d which is in the trend found a few I would guess would work out I see what your trying to say dont go registering a bunch of domains maybe look up the keywords im going to register etc, if you're experienced in this id like to speak to you on msn or something because I have a few domains which I think might be worth something. that just what I wanted to hear , thanks for the positive reply. Thats cool, but if you follow the newish trends you're bound to stumble upon a few unregistered domains, not looking for thousands of dollars, anything in profit i'll be happy with =], Thanks for all the replys didnt expect this many, keep replying
for example, before Google launch the Nexus, you hear some rumors about it and you purchase. When it's launched, just wait (you can put google ads), when Nexus is hot sell it for $$$
I have never done it...but there is plenty of potential for growth despite many of the 'good' domains being taken. Think about a domain with 'Twitter' in it or even now something like 'iPad' ...opportunities pop up all the time. Its a tough game, I think you really need to be forward thinking if you want to make consistent money flipping domains.
Ahh thats abit different 'Ipad' is apples product I dont think there'd be down with you revolving sites around there product, but I may be wrong.
I think your right, there have been a few cases recently where domains have been granted to apple because they were infringing on the companies products. You have to be careful.
You can send them to me in a private message, but I'm 99% sure they wont be worth much. If you owned a valuable domain name, you would already know it.
Yes that's right, Many just register domain names just to sell them later, for exemple, you want DomainX.com, that domain have great keyword and will certainly get good future SEO, so, instead of selling it for 8$, it will will be 80$
I personally don't do this, but know a few people who do this and make profits. Not to mention, every domain they register doesn't give them profit straight away. It's a risky model as you cannot always predict/calculate how much a domain will be worth for after a certain time. So true
but did you make more then you lost? exaclty what I want to do, doesnt matter how long it takes to sell any profit = good Yeah, id have to take all that into account, bearing in-mind though, if I buy a few domains and one sells for more then what I paid for them, im in a win/win situation.
