man!! This is really outrageous from payapal. If they informed us before we could have arranged for alternatives.. In last 10 months I have receiving 90% of transaction via paypal. If I known this I could have asked via wiretransfer or western union too..

This is really bad and put everyone in very bad situation..

    1. First my account is limited
    2. After lifting the limit, I lost $35 for it and another 35$ for another transation.. I dunno why they took it as it is not my mistake..
    3. my transfer has been going from 27th but still no money in my bank a/c
    4. Even it solved I will only get the money to my paypal which is square one again...
    5. Communication from paypal is really bad.. There are thinking it is a charity organisation.. I guess lot of people would have lost money as well respect because of delay of payment..
    6. I cant believe people who faced this last year are still using paypal..

well me to thought intially but read the sentence carefully "not adversely affected by currency fluctuations" which means they make sure we are not so much affected and anyway we will affect little bit by this.

And also use of the Word "not adversely affected" which is not quantifiable. For me RS10 k loss in conversion means a huge loss but they saw it just 1% of your money. If they say customer with exchange rate loss of .5 or 1% will be borne by paypal. Then there is real concern. Well i am sure these statements are prepared by legal dept in paypal. They just playing with words:mad:

I agree that our reverted funds will return back. That is why I said they acted very unprofessional. But at the same time, they wont dupe us and that is what I was mentioning. They wont run away but they have acted completely unprofessional which was not expected from such a reputed and trusted company thats it.

They refunded the money.. The money I had put in for withdrawal..

But in doing the reversal.. they've kept $54..

You still think they aren't duping us?? What's our fault if they have issues???

Of course I am not employee of Paypal.
I am also facing problems, one of my payment credit back to my account with loss of 74$ in currency conversion.

But are you sure you will stop Paypal for future???

Come back to this thread once you got your money in your bank, once all things normal,

just come back and tell me the answer of this question?

Will you close your Paypal accounts after getting money in your bank?

It's not make us feel safe, they can not keep the money hanging in between so they are transferring it to our account, thats fine but they are forcing the conversion fee on us.

For example,I got 1110$ in return for 1200$ and 517$ for 555$. There is no huge difference in the rupee value so far.

Here is whats going on, there is 3.4% conversion fee.

They usually give us 1.7 rupees less than the actual conversion rate available,
That is if the dollar to rupee conversion 46 on standard websites like yahoo finance you get 46-1.7=44.3 rupees for on dollar.

While you are converting from rupees to dollar they are considering the same dollar as 46+1.7=47.7 rupees.

They haven't done anything to ensure that we are not affected, those ****** **** are just acting in their best interest.

They conversion rate to day is 46.680 and they are charging 48.35 rupees

well in short term i didn't see any good alternative but in future if something that come as a alternative i will switch gradual and make paypal just an alternative.

Hope in near future many Payment gateway will offer friendly service and act as bank rather than a middle agent

Whether we can continue to use paypal after this issue is resolved is dependent on 2 factors:

1.Will be still able to withdraw money into our bank accounts
2.Will clients agree to use a different method of payment

If Q1 answer is no, then there is no advantage in using Paypal.
