Thank you for your patience while we work to address the issue of processing withdrawals to Indian bank accounts.

We expect to have this issue resolved within the next few days. In the meantime, we’re going to restore the amount of your recent withdrawal into your PayPal balance so that you can know your money is safe in your account. You should see the balance restored within 24 hours. In addition, you will see a reimbursement of any withdrawal fees charged. We will ensure that you are not adversely affected by currency fluctuations during the last week.

In your transaction log, you will soon see that your PayPal withdrawal request has been reversed. We ask that you wait to submit another bank withdrawal request until we have addressed the processing issue. We will contact you again in a few days with an update and, if the issue is resolved, you can initiate another withdrawal at that time. In the meantime, you will have the ability to spend your balance to purchase goods or services if you choose.

Again, we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

    Thank You,

    PayPal

Some reversed funds are re-issued without any problem. I think the problem remains only with wire transfer. The reseller club also issued a notice that they are not accepting wire transfer.

    Guys,

If we go for Consumer Court in India. Would it be a better option?
I'm wondering why Indian media come into this issue yet.

Hey can the Original Poster ( the guy who opened this thread ) edit his Opening post to include the link to the DIGG link ?

That way it can get more eyeballs & hence diggs.

( The Digg link is pointing back this digital point thread )

nope nothing is mentioned about the reversals. The mail which I got 40 mins before talks only about the withdrawal issue. I am happy atleast they are now specifying the resolution time "next few days". They have also informed that the withdrawal funds would be reversed back to our account (with reimbursement of withdrawal charges if any).

I have transferred some money from paypal on 29th Jan 2010. My paypal status showing "completed" but I haven't received money yet in my A/C. I Contact paypal through email and got this mail from paypal.

    Thank you for contacting PayPal.

Upon checking, Electronic transfers to your bank account usually take
5-7 business days to process. Holidays and weekends are not recognized
as business days for most banking facilities, which may result in a
    delay in your banking transactions.

The status of your withdrawal is 'Completed', which means it has
completed through the PayPal system. Please note:

    * PayPal has no control over the length of time it takes your bank
to post their credits, and we do not receive confirmation when your
credit has been received by your bank.
    * Usually, if there is a problem with the transfer completing, it is
rejected back to PayPal and the funds are reversed back into the PayPal
    account.
    * At this time, this transaction has not been rejected back to us.
Therefore, we suggest that you contact your bank and ask to speak with
someone who works with Electronic Funds Transfers. This Department
should be able to verify that your deposit was received.
    * If you are unable to locate the deposit at your bank, and the
status of the transaction is still listed as completed, we can initiate
a trace on these funds once 14 business days have passed. In this case,
please contact us and our Customer Service will provide all the
information to initiate the trace procedure.

I'll be glad to hear from you if you need clarification. Just give us a
call and we will try our best to give you immediate answers or you can
also visit www.PayPal.com/101. Thank you for choosing PayPal for your
online payment needs. We appreciate your business.

    Sincerely,
    Roson
