I have this blog www.profitabling.com that appears 2nd for google search: learn to earn free 7th for google search: free economics tutorial If someone gives me the tips to rank 1st for the learn to earn free and 5th or better for free economics tutorial I would extremely appreciate! Also I would like to know some general tips to rank higher in every search. What do I have to do?
I would suggest two things: Link exchange - raises your PR and thus your rank in google's results Keywords in URL Path: helps google rank up your page in terms of those keywords
Ok, a few things. First of all, lets start with your key phrases. what makes you think that you'll get traffic from these key prhases? According to the google keyword tool, the phrase 'learn to earn free' is almost NEVER searched for. So even if you were at the #1 spot, you'd still not get any traffic. The phrase 'free economics tutorial' is a little better, in that it is searched for a whopping 16 times per month, globally! That's 16 unique visitors just waiting to visit your site. My point is, these are very poorly selected keyprhases. You need to spend alot more time analyzing key phrases, in regards to both volume and competition. Remember that 99.9% of all online businesses that fail, do so becuase of pporly selected key prhases. Also, I see lots of opportunity for on page and off page optimization and link building. Once you have found key phrases that give you an opportunity to succeed, then we can come back and work on these.
