Hello Guys, I was searching for a movie. When I tried to download it, its showing as a torrent. I don't understand. With in a few seconds the file has been downloaded too. What exactly is this?
the file you have downloaded needs to be opened in a torrent client which will then download the movie. note this is video piracy though if a copyrighted movie.
The 90's called. They said they want you back. Seriously now, could you please quit spamming the place? I mean more than 100 posts for a new account seems a bit fishy to me.
use a free torrent client like bittorrent. download this file and install it. then open the torrent link you got for the movie. the movie would download.do check out seed to leach ratio. as this decides speed of download.
Wow, yeah. I'm with you on that one...smells like fish to me! But if you're for real, I always use Transmission on my Mac. I like it because it's not a resource hog.
I don't know what the other guys are talking about.. leaving it. And coming to the point. (PS: The number of posts are large because of the continuous posting on the payment processing section due to the paypal problems. I don't think that it's a hu-oooooo-ge mistake.) to the other guys who told about the thread. mates, could you tell me what exactly is a torrent client. I'm scared to download the files. I doubt whether they are any viruses. How can I believe the downloads/sites? Is there any trustworthy site for this?? thanks for your time.
A torrent is a pointer that essentially directs you to a file being shared on a peer-to-peer file sharing network. You aren't downloading the file from a static ftp. Instead, you are downloading it from a number of other people's computers who also have the file. You're also uploading the file. The file can contain a virus just like any other file you download. In general, torrent sites do not vet the content they list in their search engines, so they can contain anything, really.
Many thanks for sharing some good info on the topic. In fact I was trying about an old movie 'wolfman' a google search sent me many results of 'dvdrip' files. There start my confusions. The first site led me to a file which I could download with in a minute confused when I tried to open it was asking some other programs. A search has told me to install torrent client. But I was scared to download it thinking it 'd be a virus or worm. Can you please suggest me any good sites for torrent clients? And please tell if it is illegal. I don't want to do this if so. Thank you very much!
Most of the files are illegal, but not all. A torrent actually allows you to download/upload from network of computers. Download a file with extension '.torrent' and open it in program like µTorrent or BitComet.
Friend, I really don't want to do something illegal. Is this website which is been given from your side is a good one? Can I download the client from this site? Please advice. By the way thanks for sharing the resource.
some torrent sites are scams to try get you to download there clients or just fake videos so you download off there site and make them money, www.thepiratebay.org or .com (cant remember) is where you go for torrents www.utorrent.com is what you use to download the file on after it's complete 100% it's done.
Marketersradio, thanks for the info. SYther, yeah this is my problem too. I don't know whether these guys gonna give some peers to be downloaded to my system to make money. I would like to hear some comments from those who are experienced with this.
A torrent is a file that users share to each other to download things. A client you can use to download thes "torrents" is something like BitTorrent or Utorrent.
