there is an article on eza, and i want to check it for backlins. is there any way i can do this? thanks
Copy and paste the article page URL into Yahoo Site Explorer and it will show any sites that link to that page.
thanks, but i already tried this. this is what i get Invalid Request No Results We were unable to find any results for the given URL in our index
I recommend SEO SPYGLASS. It's one of the best SEO tools out there imo. Key in the url of the article and voila~ Just do a google search on the term "seo spyglass", should be the first result.
go to google and type "link:siteurl.com" or "link: siteurl.com" you will get the back links, if you not get means.. your not promoted that links.. if you promote then you will get the links.
Don't post article in site explorer , insert your website url then click Explore button. Tell me what URL you are tying to explorer ?
You can use Yahoo Site Explorer, or maybe open the page in Firefox and use SEO Quake extension to find links.
You have to use the link command within Google for sites like Blogger, Wordpress and EZA (any site that uses the same domain name actually) because Yahoo Site Explorer doesn't get an accurate read for your own article because it is looking at the domain and can't process that many links to tell you about your individual page. Best of luck! It's hard to check, but usually worth the effort.
There is a 'only this url' or 'entire site' option if you decide to use yahoo site explorer, just choose the 'only this url' and everything should be good. don't use link:url, you won't find anything there at all.. webmaster tools don't show u the full amount too. yahoo site explorer shows you EVERYTHING, good or bad, missing links and nofollows. But use seo spyglass if you want to know the value of the links and much more detail. It's free.
How old is your website? and how old are the backlinks you have created for your website. It is highly possible that these links are not crawled by search engines yet
Wrong... Google purposely hides (does not disclose) the links pointing to websites. The most unreliable method to find links pointing to a web page is to use Google. On the other hand, you can get good results using the same command (link:domain.com./inner-page.html) with Yahoo! and get good results. If you want to do this kind of analysis and find the anchor text of those links, I highly recommend using WebComp Analyzer. It's not a free tool, but it is free fast, and very accurate. Hope this helps, Neil
