    Hi,

I have received the following email from them after applying:

I would like to know what is the difference between the Burst Network and the Burst Direct Network? Also, what is the pay like. How much are you likely to get on a CPM basis as I have other CPM networks aswell.

Burst Network is one of the leading Tier 1 networks available, Burst Direct is a pathetic network with very little ads and high default rates, for the ads they have they pay good, but they default over 95% of ads and show surveys and they don't pay you for the surveys they show.

Burst Direct is not worth your time to fill out the application.

So it is a waste of my time then. I need a better network that pays me over $0.50 CPM or around that way. At the moment I am earning that with Casale as I have set the rates high there and in Fastclick, I use to have an average of around $0.40 - $1.00, but now that it has changed to Valueclick I only seem to be having around $0.20 - $0.50, which is poor as most days are around the $0.35 mark.

I have never seen these such low rates before, I prefered it when it was Fastclick as I had been with them for over 1 year and never experienced low rates like this.

Even the MAIN Burst was pathetic. Their fill rate is atrocious for all the time I've been with them. If you have a small site they might work, but they could barely fill one of my medium size sites. I have no clue about Burst direct, but if they're trying to push it on you, it can't possibly be good. Go for Casale instead. Have you thought about Axill? They pay a flat .30-cent CPM and seem to accept everyone.

I have tried applying for Axill two times before but never get any emails or replies from their emails so I don't trust them.

I am already with Casale and Valueclick, but want better payers than these.

Casale is paying me around $0.45 - $0.71 CPM with about a 10-20% fill rate and Valueclick was paying me around that way aswell with nearly a 100% fill rate, but I have noticed my earnings go down to about $0.20 - $0.60 with them now and have been around that way for some time.

It is mainly around the $0.20 - $0.35 mark for some ad types. I need something that pays even better than these. I heard that Burst was the second best. I guess I must have been wrong.

That's weird, I thought they went out of business, I remember getting letters some years back, about a lawyer liquidating their assets. Or is this another company under same name?

Back in the day, FlyCast was the best for me and Burst was second... and I seem to remember they went out of business in that order.

Well, if it'll make you feel better, I have been running Axill on two of my sites for the last 4 months, and they've always paid on time, by check every 15 days.

As to the others, Casale has always been poor when it comes to fill rates, and yes, Valueclick has always been pretty good. I would recommend, if you haven't already done so, to use Casale as your Valueclick default, and just run Valueclick all the time.

Na, don't you mean the other way around. Casale should definately be used first followed by Valueclick.

I am getting a 10 - 20% fill rate with casale, but have selected so I can't get lower than $0.70 on some of my ad types.

With Valueclick I get a much higher fill rate but my earnings is somewhere around $0.20 - $0.60 at the moment. But most ad types are more around the $0.20 - $0.40 mark with Valueclick. It has gone down hill to what it use to be when it was called FastClick.

I could put valueclick in my first tier, which I have done many of times and it will still earn me the same rates.

I would like a CPM program that pays higher rates than valueclick and Casale though. I know triable fusion does and I also thought that burst does to. Ummm.

From what I recently read Tribals rates went to shit. Valueclick seems to be very sought after, but I hear their fill rates are shit. Can anyone prove this wrong? How would a site fiar with 300,000 page views per day?

About Casale, but are they paying for pop-unders and banners?

No CPM ad network can fill 300K PVs/day. That's why you need a half dozen of them chained up. If your visitors are refreshing a lot, or making a lot of PVs, your ads will default even faster, because no network likes to serve ads to the same person more than once or twice or three times in a roll.

I see. Good tips. Which networks do you run chained up? Right media seems to have some decent publishers, but they still are not a tier 1 network.

My current chain is Gorilla Nation, TF, Fastclick, Casale, Axill, Redcomb, and another 5-6 really lousy paying ad networks. But what the hey, they may pay shit, but you know, it's better getting pennies for an impression than getting nothing, I always say.

Very true. Nice networks there. Do you have a favorite? Also, how do you rotate thru them all?

I would think Gorilla Nation would be the favourate. That why it is first in the chain followed by Trabal.

I see - awesome chain Jack! Gorilla Nation seems like a more entertainment oriented publisher, or is it just the name that is making me feel that it is?

You are correct, they are very entertainment-based. They sell your ad inventory directly, which is how they can afford to give their publishers such high rates.

Ah nice. Well thanks for the suggestions. They were very good ones. I appreciate it.

    EDIT:

What kind of traffic is Gorilla Nation looking for? The sites I see in their inventory are doing insane amounts of page views and uniques. Ebaums World, Automotive forums, etc....
