Day when pak will spend on useful activities rather then spending on circulating terror. Paypal dont want to face money laundering issues like E-GOLD.

It is a scam at global scale. First PayPal kept our money locked and took interest from bank for that time frame Or may be they invested those funds in something to gain even more profit. Second They kept the withdrawal fee even when the transaction was not completed, Every day paypal handles over 2 million transactions, so if they kept fee for those transactions but couldn't complete them, they have scammed a lot of money.
The way they are promising to pay back the fee but are not providing a time frame, I think they are currently low on cash.

I hope PayPal is not going to bankrupt soon, they need to enhance there customer support as well.

I think theres this problem again in paypal. I initiated a transfer last wednesday, and I still haven't got it in my account, and I sent a mail to paypal, and they tell me that they are aware of this problem and that I should contact them after 14 days of initiation of payment so that they can trace the money and get it credited.

Its the same time as last year when there was this similar problem. Why don't they be open about it? Are they waiting for the USD to go up a bit so that they can make a little more profit by holding our money and sending it to us when the prices fall down or something?

    Guys,

I requested withdrawal on following dates with status from Jan 25 to Feb 3 --

    25-Jan-2010 >> Successfully received on 27-Jan-2010
27-Jan-2010 >> Not till now - PayPal shows Completed
31-Jan-2010 >> Not till now - PayPal shows Completed
03-Feb-2010 >> Not till now - PayPal shows Completed

So, the issue persists since the end of January. I got proper mails instead of an issue as in http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1677414 .

The withdrawal of 27-Jan tells -- The money should be in your bank account by 03-Feb-2010 , and similarly the other ones, but I am still waiting for the funds. I am little bit assured now as I am not the only and it's not the first time it has happened.

    Thanks,
    Vijay

    Hi,

Nope, it's not that much scary. I have had such problems before and it took around 15 days to reach the funds to my account.

You might remember the 1 day RBI Strike when all the withdrawals were delayed for 1-2 weeks.

They won't run with our money that easily, be assured!

    Thanks,
    Vijay

Below is the reply I got from Paypal.

Delay could be tolerated but I hope the money lands without hassles.

I have 2 bank transfers pending. 1st was initiated on 25th Jan and 2nd was initiated on 3rd Feb. PayPal shows transactions as completed but nothing deposited in the account. Why does paypal make this each year?

    Hello All :

I have been using Paypal for last 3 years. We faced the same issue around same time last year. I have couple of things to share

    - Don't worry about the delayed withdrawals to your bank account. I am 100% sure that we all will receive the money either in our bank account or back in Paypal. This is definelty an issue between RBI and Paypal. We know how the Indian Govt Official works, SLOW...VERY SLOW. They dont know anything about internet and people's life on it. I am sure this problem will be fixed in next 3 - 4 days.

    - The more dangerous thing is payment reversals.. Please note that payments made on Services with proper invoices are getting reversed (4 payments got reversed for me) , Payments received for goods are getting reversed as well. So far expect for payments made thru shopping cart.. all the other payments are getting reversed. THIS IS DEFINELTY A TECHNICAL ISSUE. I GUESS, SOMETHING GOT SCRWED UP WITH PAYPAL SYSTEM WHILE TRYING TO STOP PERSONAL PAYMENTS TO INDIAN USERS.
I strongly suggest, to avoid confusion and tension. DO NOT RECEIVE ANY FURTHER PAYMENTS FROM YOUR CLIENTS. WAIT TILL WEDNESDAY.. IF NOTHING is HAPPENING LOOK FOR ALTERNATIVE.

please dont see it as problem.. look for alternative and start sharing your thoughts on alternative here.. or there might be a good payment gateway system looking for new customers..

Good Luck.. thanks for every one who participated in this forum. This is only place to get constant updates on this issue. hope paypal is following this forum as well.

Did anyone noticed one thing? PayPal still deposit money for verification I means small amount 1.XX Rs that suggest that RBI must have some limits on them!

"transfers to local banks in India have been suspended"

Check the newest post at -- https://www.thepaypalblog.com/

I am using PayPal since 2007, had this issue every year almost at this time [End Jan to Start Feb] when payments got delayed for 15 to 30 days. You can check the first page of this thread - it's for the same issue of last year at almost same time.

I am quite sure about the safety of my funds, and advise you not to worry much for the same. Sooner of Later your money will be with you, you are not gonna lose it. I have a heavy amount of withdrawal on the way from 27th Jan to 3rd Feb. The withdrawal of 25th Jan was cleared on 27th to my SBI account without any issue.

Hold on for this week and before posting your frustration, like people are doing in other threads about FIR, legal actions, etc etc just read this old thread and hold on for this week. Once everything is settled, every one will forget about all those things and will be back to business with PayPal. Fortunately or unfortunately, there is no alternative at this time.

    Thanks,
    Vijay

I too debit my money on 3rd Feb and yet I have not received them in my account.
I am highly worried about this matter now as all of us money is still in vain.

If anyone, whose money withdraw request is completed in paypal and has also receive money in their bank account, do acknowledge in this thread.

Does anyone please kindly throw light on that

"Is it really possible that after getting the withdraw status COMPLETED on Paypal account, after getting so much delay, inspite of getting money into our account, our money got reverse into paypal account. This will surely result in reverse fee cut off."

Kindly please anyone throw light on this issue.
