Anyone else got the email alert after withdrawal (Indian Paypal Users) ??

Good. if RBI stopped the NEFT's then paypal balance should show them ? It is not showing. so again cause for worry.

 

Yeah. But, if they do that I'm sure none of us would think of an alternative for paypal once this chaos is cleared. Also, they could gain their reputation back.

 

Ever thing will be fine in a few days not to worry

 

Paypal is facing bad times as of now.. lets see if their kind of monopoly remains same after this chaos gets over..

 

Before paypal had bank withdrawal, I used to use xoom.com all the time. I can give proof also if you want to see

 

I think Paypal and RBI issue is one part, but paypal seems to have technical issues also. That is why they say they will fix it soon!

Just now I got a xoom transfer initiated on Friday evening by my American friend..

and Yes, exchange rates are high compared to Paypal.. and fee is very very low. It charged 2.99$ only..

So I guess there is no problem with RBI accepting personal payments from foreign countries, otherwise money wouldn't have reached my bank account today. The problem is between Paypal and RBI..

Still waiting for paypal's turn to fund my bank account..

You might want to ask them to pay you using an alternate payment method. I'm more worried about payments from ad networks who offer paypal as the only payment option.

The good thing is that paypal only said tht the problem is technical or it is temporary... they never said that the a new policy has been implemented or so.... So I thnk the prob is temporary and will be sorted out this week..

Their customer support says
"We are aware of this issue and I sincerely regret the inconvenience it has caused you. Our technical department are working to resolve this matter. We are accomplishing the necessary maintenance to ensure that we will provide you a more convenient service at PayPal. We appreciate your patience and understanding."

This clearly indicates a technical prob or smthng they r trying hard to sort out.... they r in no way trying 2 shutdown their business in india.

Yes, it is technical but how in the hell can it pop in so all of a sudden...something fishy!

 

There is no way to close their business in India until and unless RBI stops them because they are earning very good from Indian people as 99% webmasters, web companies in India are using PayPal.

And yes, according to me, things will be get cleared soon and we will get our money back.

Exactly. But, such a huge company like paypal don't have enough technicians to fix this in a day or two? That's the part which subject to worry

 

The length of the downtime is really irritating me. It has been more than a week since the problem erupted and there is no concrete announcement as to what is the problem and why it is taking them so long to rectify the same!
I wonder how long they intend to keep us ON HOLD!

No news.... is really very bad news in such circumstances!
