Not in Mumbai. I am in Kolkata.

Does the parent of the minor need to have a passport?
My Dad Died in 2008(he didnt had one.) And my mother doesnt have one.

Does a minor need to give an interview for a passport?

The parent doesn't necessarily have a passport. I just got mine made.

Firstly, I would suggest you to go for "dalaal" if he isn't charging much because the corrupted officials at passport office wont let you get one easily.

Secondly, you will need some proofs as mentioned on the form (assuming you got the form atleast) and be sure to read the annexures at the end as you will be needing parent's sign.

Good luck mate. For further clarification (if any) just PM me and i'll try my best to help ya out !

    Just do this dude:

Either you can download this form, print and fill it out and submit it to your regional passport office in - 4 Brabourne Road, kolkata

    http://passport.gov.in/cpv/ppapp1.pdf

    OR

you can apply online here https://passport.gov.in/pms/Information.jsp

    AND

Make sure you have all of these documents http://passport.gov.in/cpv/checklist.htm

I wouldn't recommend it... and thats the problem with Indians.. either everything is corrupt or we imagine everything to be corrupt and we go along with it

    (d) Government/Public Sector/Statutory body employees should submit “Identity Certificate” in original (ANNEXURE B) along with Standard Affidavit Annexure I.
