Does No follow links counts for SERPs?

I am creating backlinks for my website... both do-follow and no-follow . Actually I am not concentrating of follow and no follow as if for now.. I am just creating it by blog commenting and as it comes in my way with a minimum speed. My question is, will the no follow backlinks can help me with the SERPs, at all???
    Plz help??

Nofollow links have potential for back links. But mostly do follow links help your website to gain better SERP

So, do you mean to say that no follow do help with SERPs?? May it be a very little amount but does it help in anyway except referral traffic?? coz do follow helps in both way..referral and SERP...so my question is , does no follow will give me both??? Forget the amount of quality...even 0.1 % is cool....when it comes to SERP

I think you should follow a mixed approach. Do both, it looks more natural in this way.

Both No follow and Do follow helps in SERP (with my experience). But do follow links gives more link juice than No follow Links. No follow links never pass any link juice. you can gain more no follow links easily in short period (through blog, comment, and other social sites). But it could be cause guest book spamming and can be cause of penalty. So get mix up links.

Look at like this -> Nofollow means the links will not be followed. How come search engines give importance for this?

    So prevent getting these.

I found many nofollow backlinks to my website in google webmastertools. So I am doubting about the difference between nofollow and dofollow . Any way for link building my preference goes to dofollow links only.

    I thing both are best.

by nofollow u can,t get any backlink but give visitors to reason to reach to your website

This is debatable but its all about creating the natural mix. So its natural that there will be no follow links.

just comment mate, don't think about dofollow or nofollow...let's google chose it . Comment on nofollow but on relevant niche will help your site on search engine and sometimes we can see backlink from nofollow site,

    for me "just comment"...

    In general, no.

'No-follow' links do not provide direct benefit to your position on SERPs.

There are, however, a few peripheral benefits to acquiring 'no-follow' links.
    - more exposure
    - some referral traffic, and a chance for this traffic to link to you
    - more diverse backlink portfolio

As far as I know, nofollow is a google thing, so it may still help with other se's... However, here is what Matt Cutts says "The essential thing you need to know is that nofollow links don’t help sites rank higher in Google’s search results." http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/pagerank-sculpting/

NOTE: He said they don't help sites in GOOGLE's results, so it may work for other's like I said..

Yes, I do agree with you there is no such No Follow and Do Follow, you have to do effective and genuine postings what ever you do and never spam it, other wise you will get penalized by Google.

    follow, do follow, index

are defaults. You can use them, it wont hurt, but it wont do anything different.

'nofollow', 'noindex', 'none' will tell google and the other engines that use the meta tags to not give any pr to the landing page, to not index the landing page-thus no backlink for those engines that respect the meta tags.

dynamic links (redirects) are also valueless in page ranking.
